Cheap (£70) 'open' sounding headphone/earbud/IEM recommendations needed!
I love the soundstage width. It's very very wide to my ears. The bass is good but a bit low in quantity (had to turn on NX4's bass boost on). I guess It needs some eq. Music feels very 'real' if I can say so compared to my Galaxy Buds Pro. Recommended IMO. Just tried a bass-heavy track and my...- XmarX

For sure! But my current reference is Galaxy Buds Pro and a Jade Audio IEM (that's all I have at the moment). So, my opinion might not matter much.- XmarX

Thanks for the reply. I have been looking at the measurements without smoothing and finding AKG headphones have a very 'rough' treble. Is that a problem? https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements/akg/k702/- XmarX

Thanks for the reply. But I can't seem to make my mind up to buy a used headphone! Sorry! Do you think for the amount I quoted (£70 - $90 - 82 euros), no good quality solutions won't be available?- XmarX

Cheap (£70) 'open' sounding headphone/earbud/IEM recommendations needed!
Hello folks! I have a Topping NX4 DSD amp/dac and my main use cases are Spotify and PC gaming. Would love an open sounding (like that of a good pair of bookshelf speakers) device and a flat frequency response. I'm a bit partial to open-back earbuds but please reply with your suggestions. I...- XmarX

The Hi-Fi + Hi-Res Audiophiles' Bluetooth Headphone Adapter Thread - [17.Oct.21] iFi GO Blu impression added
Sorry, I should have been more specific! I was talking about Bluetooth. On the ifi website, it is said that the Hip DAC 2 have ~8 hrs of battery life. But the size is big. That's great as there is not much difference between the two in price terms. BTW any info about Astell & Kern stuff?- XmarX

Any idea on the Hip DAC 2 from ifi in comparison with the ifi Go Blu in terms of SQ? Ifi Go Blu is the current SQ champion, right?- XmarX

Could it be that you received a lemon? QC issues are common on some models! Would you consider a replacement first? I'm asking because I'm in the market for one and was looking at this model!- XmarX

Portable Bluetooth DAC/amp needed for long journeys - gaming & movies (LL)
So, I travel a lot on the breaks and for work. I also do travelling on flights too with its noisy engines. I use android, ios and windows 10 for gaming and movie watching and it's impossible (for me) to find a wireless earbud/iem that does it all with low latency. For PC, I'm going to get a...- XmarX

[FiiO BTR15/BTR5 2021/BTR5]Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier Discussion & Impressions Thread
So, is this the 'best' for low latency gaming and movie watching? My sources are my PC (intel Bluetooth 5), android phone and iPad. I have a Jade Audio IEM but I'm planning to get either 7hz timeless or the etymotic E2XR for listening. Would love good battery life like 10 hrs (is it too much?)...- XmarX

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Thanks for the reply! But, unfortunately, its unavailable in my country! I kind of like Soundpeats True Air 2. Seems like its got a lot of positive reviews. But TBH, I'm looking for a product from more "mainstream" western or Japanese brands like Sony, Jabra etc. It seems like they are too costly.- XmarX

Was looking for a budget bluetooth earbud and found Jays T Four. My budget is $30-40 and I would be using it for phone calls, podcasts, netflix and may be a little gaming (PC gaming). So, is it good?- XmarX

DAC+Headphone amp for $200
Modi+Magni ? Yeah, it definitely is an option! But, I already have a Yamaha AS500 amp on my desk and I don't like to stack two more boxes right next to it! I was interested in more of a integrated DAC+Headphone amp setup. But I'm not ruling it out completely. Thanks for the suggestion btw.- XmarX
