I've had a cigar or cigarillo on occasion with IEM's in - the seal on the ear canal seems to suck the smoke into the eustachian tube and irritates it.  I try to avoid it.  Plug-ins like triple flanges are worse than customs.   I doubt it will adversely affect your monitors.   Unless...  ...

I moved my turntable to a new location and now every time I play something, about 3 minutes in, I get this horrible loud drone/buzz sound.
