Pretty much this.    The Fa-003 are quite comfortable though after you stretch em out a little, but if not stretched out they kinda squeeze your head. Just use a couple books to stretch em out and then they're perfect. Quote:

You could get your tf10 reshelled into customs if fit is an issue and you want to use them outside.

Just got my HE-4 today, and so far I agree with the recessed mids assessment.  I EQed to push the mids up a little and it sounds better to my ears.   Do these benefit from burn in?  Any significant changes after awhile?

Just bought an HE-4 that i'll be able to bring to the meet :D

You could try the Fischer Audio FA-003, which have a very similar sound signature to the HD600s   You can get em for around $175 new too, even cheaper if you find one on the FS forum.   They isolate pretty well and are comfortable and very light.   Only problem is they are kinda big...

Have you heard of the Fischer Audio FA-003? Good isolation, comfy after you stretch em out, and has a pretty neutral sound sig. Great value for around $170-180 new

If you could find a used Ultrasone Pro 900 that would be great for those genres.

Fischer Audio FA-003!  They are kinda big, and they definitely aren't mainstream.   BUT, they are under $200, have pretty good isolation, are very comfortable and lightweight, have detachable cables, come with a nice case, and they sound great with any genre!

Fischer Audio FA-003!  With the money you save you can get a better amp too!
