Some of the bare wire of my Sennheiser 380's are exposed, how dangerous is this?
The protective outer layer of the cable has peeled a half an inch near the headphones themselves somehow. With the 380's you plug the top of the cable into the headphones input, but below this solid piece and onto the soft cable itself is where the layer has peeled away. I have had the phones...- dudefromearth

What is a very good Sennheiser HD800 cable? I can pay $500+
I got a Cardas cable for €300 from ebay. I can notice a definite improvement in the quality of the headphones, the bass is more prominent, vocals are more clearer. I am glad I got it. -
Need to get a new Sennheiser HD800 cable as my current one is fried
The fibre in the stock cable has been exposed and the sturdy part of the cable at top next to the headphone itself is very loose, which is very bad. The wires inside of the cable, which I can clearly see, can be bent very easily. How much would it cost to get the HD800 stock cable replace or...- dudefromearth

What is the midrange?
I do not knock an awful lot about musical terms, but I heard the midrange is the human voice and piano/guitar. What are other good examples of the midrange. Flute?- dudefromearth

I bought a PS Audio Digital Link III from audiogon on the 16th of October from "Badgirl". I paid $550 for the DLIII and $95 on top for USPS Overnight Shipping. I thought it would be overnight, but I e-mailed her a few days later and she said that is only inside the US, it would take a week...- dudefromearth

can someone help me, I have a problem with playing music on my PC
I try to play music in iTunes, VLC or WMP and it doesn't happen. In iTunes the "time meter" at the top of the program doesn't move, but the pause button appears. In VLC the time meter moves but no sound and in WMP it doesn't start the track at all. Real Player plays tracks fine, which is odd...- dudefromearth

Audio-GD Reference 7 - the new flagship DAC
Quote: I ordered the PS Audio DLIII this week. If I was to get the ART Legato, would it conflict with the DLIII? I am saying this as DLIII only sample 96khz or 192khz, while the Legato only does 44khz.- dudefromearth
