listening at 3 or 4 o'clock with the K702, i'm going to say that the problem is you are going deaf. unless you have it mounted upside down.

i've just started having an issue where the HDP isn't detected on computer start up, and i have to unplug and plug the USB cable back in. anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

I'm looking to put my HDP sideways on my desk and wanted to raise it up a little bit with those metal feet that I see everyone has on their DACs/amps/preamps.   What's a good place to get some cheap ones? I don't need some $100 ones, just something decent.

HDP's USB interface is excellent (sounds the same as using optical in from my macbook pro) so I'm not sure an M2Tech Hiface or anything like that is needed. Seems kinda redundant to me.   I will say that I've experienced a little bit of clipping here and there, but only when I connected it...

Depends on what kind of music you listen to and what inputs you're going to be using. USB, i'd go with V-DAC. Everything else, DAC-magic.
