Question: Zu mobius vs Stephen Audio cable

I don't see how you can beat Zu Mobius. It's gorgeous, too!

    Another Zu Mobius Praise

I just got a 2M Zu, and I have it say that the improvement was immediate and quite noticeable. I was a skeptic too..., but I was wrong- the Zu is worth it. Crisper, cleaner, sharper, better. And, you're so right about the beautiful finish of the Zu. That matters to me.

I got the grado 225 but not really all that impressed how about 325?

I've listened very carefully to the 325 and the 225 in direct and immediate comparison (using a "Y" adapter with bothplugged in at the same time so I could swithc back and forth immediately). I compared the two for several hours. I really wanted to like the 325 better for some reason (probably...

    best dark hd650 cable?

Ross, I saw in your post that you have tried all the 650 cables and are going to post a review. I look forward to seeing your review, but I am getting ready to buy a cable now and would really appreciate your thoughts on one question now since I won't be able to wait for your review before...

Best cable for HD650 (highs and overall detail)

Thanks for all the input. It sounds like the Zu may be what I want, although the Equinox sounds good too per Patrickhat2001. PATB hit the nail on the head for what I'm looking for. I've had Grado 225's, and I'm trying to move the HD650s a bit towards the Grado sound (more highs and more detail...

Best cable for HD650 (highs and overall detail)

I'd appreciate any input others may provide about the SPECIFIC improvements particular different cables offer over the stock HD 650 cable (e.g., more prominent highs, more bass, smoother, etc). I'm also interested in how these different cables compare to each other, and which is best. Based...

Hey, I just want to listen to music....

Alright, I just got in my E-Mu 1212m!!!! It sounds fantastic! My fears were unfounded- this thing is not hard at all to install and set up (at least for basic playback like I'm doing). I notice that the only strips that installed for "host inputs" in the Default Session were as follows...

Hey, I just want to listen to music....

Thanks guys! I really appreciate your input. I feel a lot better now about taking on a high-end card like the 0404 or the 1212. I think that's what I'm going to do. Are the 1212 and the 0404 about the same complexity as far as interface is concerned? If the 0404 is not much simpler, I lean...

Hey, I just want to listen to music....

Man, I've been reading this Forum for several days, and my head is spinning.! Foobar, ASIO, 192k, 24 bit, etc!???? I'm looking to add a good sound card so that I can listen to music on my headphones (a Grado 225, running through a Gilmore Lite Head Amp), and so that I can play tunes on my...

    Advice needed/appreciated!!

Thanks again, Asmo. The only firewire port I have now is on my Audigy card, and when I lose that I'll lose firewire. It'll cost at least $40 or so to get a firewire card to supplement a 0404 card, so that puts me within $60 of a 1212m. Seems to me that the 1212m is worth the extra $60, and I...

    Advice needed/appreciated!!

Thanks Asmo! 2 quick follow-up questions: 1. Is their any increase in CPU use from having this CD-ROM digital data running thru the IDE cable, as opposed to having it go from a dedicated wire from the CD-ROM to the sound card (using the digital dedicated wire, not the analog one)? 2...

    Advice needed/appreciated!!

I've decided to take the plunge and get some new headphone equipment for my PC. I've ordered a Gilmore Lite Amp and a Grado SR225 'Phone. Now, though, after reading this Forum, I realize that I probably need a new sound card to make everything really hum (my existing card is the dreaded Audigy...
