Supermacro sounds very similar to the SR-71, IMHO, with the SR-71 being more smooth and refined. I think the Supermacro is a little more upfront and dynamic. Two very comparable amps. These impressions are coming from Bel Canto DAC2 w/ABx switchbox. Haven't tried the AE-1. Gotta love that...
