Best place to buy CDs online?

Personally, I like Amazon. Their albums are usually $3-5 cheaper than Tower/Virgin etc IME, and I dig the free shipping with $25+.

Amazon market place for used.

If you are buying new... or new release go (get out and drive) to Best Buy. I pick up CD's on the week of release there for $6.99-$9.99 all the time

I've started having problems with Amazon, and I don't really want to order from there anymore. Are there any reputable places with good selection, and that have some older rarer stuff as well?
 
Does anyone know if cduniverse.com is any good?
 
 
Actually, on a side note. Has anyone else experienced this with Amazon?:
I order a whole bunch of CDs, all of which say they are in stock. Most, if not all but one ship right away. That one sits in queue and never actually ships. After a while, the item becomes available through Amazons 3rd party sales channel at a price 3 to 4 times the price I purchased it at.

TL;DR: I ordered a CD, it perpetually says it will ship soon, but never does. Meanwhile the CDs price skyrockets.

CD Universe, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab and Rhino.  Interestingly, on some rare titles and boxed sets that were sold out CDU has automatically bounced me to Amazon sellers (not sold by Amazon) directly.  Rhino issues interesting "Rhino Hand Made" stuff.  Good experiences in every respect with all three.

I buy most of my CD's from CDWOW.
 
Free delivery, good selection of titles and after a few purchases the discount coupons start rolling in......my last one was for $18 which was kinda cool.
 
I'm in NZ and I think they are based in Hong Kong - well packaged and quick delivery.

im looking for a place that sells japanese artist CDs but having no luck at the moment. Amazon is charging $40 a cd and thats excluding shipping-.- i live in aus so tat totals to be approx $60 a cd x.x

Have you tried Ebay? sometimes you find crazy deals on used/New cd's.

90% of my CDs come from Amazon Market Place. You can find used but excellent condition discs at very good prices. I've been buying at Amazon for 5 years, hundreds of CDs, and have had two problems, both quickly rectified by the seller.

CDJapan, HMV japan. I live in Singapore, prices average around $25- $40 sgd per single I import. Usually for me, if I use fedex the single will arrive at home on the day of release.

Amazon. Fast and reliable with no hassle on returns. Then theres all the excellent customers reviews i keep on reading even once i have the product to see about any hints and tips on enhancing enjoyment or things to be weary of.

amazon is certianly reliable and fast shipping but when the shipping costs more than the actual product itself, it just isnt worth it anymore. especially when thats the cheapest shipping with an estimate of 2 months shipping time.
