Do you have other devices so you can test if the problem is the 2i or the 820?

I'm using RME ADI-2 DAC fs for the moment. I fint it pretty perfect HDV800 and with the parameter EQ I have set up for HD800S. Though, I find the DAC inside HDV820 pretty good. If I then need som tweaking I use (P)EQ and/or convolution filters in Roon.

Found this from quick search: "aptX HD transfers audio at up to 576 kbps", so I guess it does not matter much.

Better range and lower power use are always good for portable battery-operated devices, IMHO.

It does work with the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter (plus a USB B cable).

I believe DSD128 is a limitation by MacOS, only Win with correct drivers do DSD256 so far.

When playing MQA through Macbook or iPhone and with Tidal or via Roon, both doing the first unfold and xDSD the last rendering, there are a lot of pops between songs and when skipping - pretty annoying. Anyone else experiencing this? Maybe something to fix in next firmware. I have not this...

With Windows and the correct drivers, the best samplerate is set automatically, depending on the source. In contrast with Mac OS X where you have to do this manually (though, players like Audirvana+ can to this for you). Check the USB that came with the 820 for Windows drivers.
