Yeah, but the 601s are <$200 while the HD600s are just over $300.

I have my eyes on some k601s myself (similar musical tastes save for the techno and also using a receiver for the most part.) The only thing holding me back fear that I would want the 70x at a later point and both are under $300. Looking forward to the advice you get.

Can anyone compare these to the 225i or the k70x. These are all in my price range but I'm leaning toward the AKG simply because of the detail though I am a bit sibilant sensitive.

I was very interested in these, until last week. In fact I tried to get some feedback for these vs. the UE 700 to no avail. Anyway, moot point now that I have some TF10s on their way.

I have heard the new Super.fi 5's and IMHO they are loud and slightly syballant. The 700's were much nicer and right at the $150 cutoff atm.
