Dont really need pics, I was thinking about building right into a interconnect / headphone extension style cable.  Just seeing if the idea will work or will it not be good for audio quality? I already have a 50ohm cable that I use with my livewires, just thinking of adding more components to it.

I'm looking for a "bass boost" in my headphones without an extra amp etc. I was wondering if it would be feasible to make a passive version of something similar, basically taking a single highpass (eg 150hz) and adding a resistor to it to attenuate it.  Therefore the bass should be stronger?  ...

So I just got my sansa clip+ 4gb today. Thought i'd plug it in and try it out.. Mainly focused on 2 tracks, funk styles and female vocal track. My headphones are the PL-30 since this is going to be my portable (lose it drop it) rig. The ability to display asian characters is a real plus...

Frankly I have to agree with you, I borrowed a friends Amp3 and it made me go buy a clip+ instead. On regular impedance headphones they're hissy... and with my livewires ... well.. it sounds like a bad piece of noise cancellation hardware..

well.. its been settled, I just got a clip+ . I couldn't justify paying 4 times the price for a cowon. so now i've got a cute little black 4gb clip +. thanks for your input!

My gut tells me the ipod would.. the Realtek integrated cards don't give the cleanest signal.. imo

hmm.. can anyone speak for the difference in JetEffect 3.0 vs 2.0? I really don't need the video function and I like the red on the iaudio7 more.. but I hate to lose on the newer JetEffects if its a substantial difference...

Does the Sony S639 support browsing by folder? I have alot of asian files that aren't tagged properly and I rely on folders..

hm.. when we say the clip and the fuze are the same chip.. wouldn't that mean they both have the potential of having a "line out"? just needing a different cable?

just loop an elastic band around it, it'll protect against drops, falls and scratches for the most part.. cheap but effective but ugly =)

I suggest usb. rather leave something in that digital form rather than converting it to optical. sure it might be hype... but usb cable is cheaper than toslink anyways

like you said. you already know the answer. its the voltage. if your voltage is okay, i dont see why not. you will have to take them out to charge and don't use the discman to charge tho. just connect the contacts somehow and you're set.

well its currently plugged into either my phone or an old creative player until my amp3 arrives. are there any stores that sell headphone adapters online? i couldn't find any impedance adapters =(
