Do any of these support gapless playback? If the D2 does, I'm pretty much sold. I love the look of the clix 2... sometimes its all that matters though...

    Iriver vs. Iaudio

Three posts and still three different answers. Can someone else weigh in and help me? I'm leaning with the D2 as it stands now. The Clix 2 battery life seems to be significant weakness and I doubt the sound quality is that much better, correct me if I'm wron.g

    Iriver vs. Iaudio

I can't decide between these three players: Iriver Clix 2 8Gb Iaudio D2 8GB Iaudio 7 8GB I've heard good things about all of them, but there seems to be no general consensus as to which edges out the competition. The Clix 2 looks great, but if I'm not mistaken the battery life is less than...

    iPod touch selling like hotcakes

I really like the look and ease of use of the Touch, however I have a question. Can you play songs off it based on directory structure? For example if I have a folder of 10 tracks, and they aren't all the same artist, can I just have it play that folder without ****ing up my tagging or...

Are there any gaming soundcards with balanced XLR or TRS inputs?

Simply, as the title states. I need a card that can run games well but that I'd also be able to plug in my headphones and studio monitors. Can anyone help offer a suggestion? I can't just run two cards, as I still wouldn't be able to plug my monitors into the regular gaming one.

    Official X-fi Prelude Specifications

Any idea how much this will cost and whether it will be a replacement for the X-Fi Extreme Music? I'm in the market for one, but maybe I should wait up on this card?

    Annoying Buzzing Sound with Headphones

I live in a house. Everything is fairly normal. I have a ceiling light (not flourescent) and thats it. There is a cordless phone in the phone, but thats all I can think of.

    Annoying Buzzing Sound with Headphones

But would plugging it into my DVD player isolate the problem? I wouldn't have the same circuit and electronic equipment about as I do here in the computer room. Should I also bring my cell phone near it to see if anything happens? The strange thing about this problem is that it is random...

    Annoying Buzzing Sound with Headphones

I don't seem to hear anything when the headphones are plugged directly into the sound card. It's just when the amp is on. The monitor doesn't seem to change anything. I can hear it just as well on very low and very high brightness. So I guess it's a ground loop problem? How do I fix that?

    Annoying Buzzing Sound with Headphones

I'm going to try plugging the headphones directly into the soundcard. If I don't hear anything, does that mean it has to be the amp? Also, what's a ground loop problem?

It is the high frequency type in morse code like pulses. What do you mean picking my GSM cellphone off my amplifer? It's not really near it.

    Annoying Buzzing Sound with Headphones

I'm getting a weird buzzing sound in my headphones as of late. I use my computer (AV710) to a PAV2 and then either A900s or Senns 280 pros and it happens in both of the cans. It is a buzzing sound like a morse code or feedback might sound, sort of like "bzzzzzzz bzzzzzbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

    A900s really lacking in bass?

Alright, mystery has been solved. I just stole my roommate's ipod and plugged my A900s in there. There's definetely quite a lot of bass there. I can't believe I've been missing this all this long, for the year or so I've had the headphones. I haven't used them for my main listening tasks...

    A900s really lacking in bass?

I guess it's time to get an amp. I haven't been able to decide between the LDM+, LDII, and PAV2. Anyone think to offer any suggestions?

    A900s really lacking in bass?

I can't be imagining this... I have yet to try another source since my receiver headphone jack is broken and my Creative Mp3 player won't turn on anymore. So I'm pretty much out of luck here.

    A900s really lacking in bass?

I'm going to have to get an amp or another source, because I really don't see how the 900s have more bass than the 280s. Something must be screwed up here, and it's probably the output on my sound card.

    A900s really lacking in bass?

I'm using the output right next to the optical output. I'm not sure its line out per se, but it's the one you're supposed to use for "high sample rate" mode. I'll be getting an amp soon, hopefully my sound improves then.

    A900s really lacking in bass?

I just ran my bass test cd and I could here it very well down to 40hz or so on my 280s. Either my hearing is wacky or I've had a bad pair of A900s, I really don't think they have more of a bass impact than the 280s.

    A900s really lacking in bass?

I definetely need to get an amp I think. This is surprising as I got the 280s mainly for DJing and just burned them in this past week, while the A900s were supposed to be my main listening headphones. I know A900s are suggested for rock a lot around here, but I don't see it, when compared to...

    A900s really lacking in bass?

I just did a side by side comparison of my new HD 280s and some A900s I've had for over a year (they were my first headphones). I noticed that while the A900s are more neutral and clear sounding, they lack a lot of bass when compared to the HD 280s. Is this normal, I thought the consensus around...

How do these higher end AT cans stack up to the A900s? I have A900s now, but I was thinking about what I would upgrade to in the future.
