Under $75 tough iem/earbud/over the ear phones for very sweaty exercise
I need a phone I can use while exercising at my local gym. My main criteria is toughness. These babies need to be able to be abused, soaked in sweat, kept in the car and still keep coming back for more. It would be a plus if they could still sound decent. I know Sony makes some really...- Dorfmeister

Tube Headphone Amp for Guitar Amplification?
I play my guitar through a digital multi-effects box and then into my HD-580's. It sounds ok but I would like to use analog effects pedals into something like a "little dot 2" tube headphone amplifier. As many of you know tube amplifiers are prevalent in the guitar world but few have...- Dorfmeister

Driveing Beyer DT 250-250 with 100 watt receiver
Should I be okay to drive a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 250 250's from a 100 wpc home receiver or would I need a dedicated headphone amp? With no headphone amp would I be better of with the DT 250-80's?- Dorfmeister

Headphones for Sleeping
Every night when I go to bed I listen to either a hypnosis tape/cd or one of the hemi-sync tapes from the Monroe Institute. I often will switch positions and lay in different positions on the pillow with my headphones on. The best headphones comfort-wise I have found for this are the Koss...- Dorfmeister

Sony Mini Disc MZ-M10 vs. MZ-M100
I am interested in getting either an MZ-M10 or MZ-M100 Mini-Disc recorder for field recording. I am attempting to figure out what makes the MZ-M10 sell for $100 more. What is the difference and is it worth the money? Thank You, Dorf- Dorfmeister

Advice on portable recording
I want to get a portable digital recording unit (mini-disc?, DAT?) unit to use to make field recordings to be processed in sound forge and turned into audio loops for use in acid and cakewalk sonar. I would like to find something decent under $100. I could probably afford $150 but $200 would...- Dorfmeister

Shure E2C - Pleased
I just got a pair of Shure E2C's. I read as much I could find here on head-fi and found other reviews on the web. I find that these in ear phones are really well made. I plan to carry them around with me and use them while I am exercising. Thus, build quality was a very important...- Dorfmeister

Mix Tapes
Personally I never listen to an entire album, I just listen to groups of songs I like a great deal. It's probably just megalomania but I like to think that I make the best mix tapes (mix cd's) ever heard by humanity.
