I'm wondering if it would be possible to use this thread to list Desktop amplifiers, which run on battery power ?   I know Blue Audio does this, but am not sure about others.

Well ... almost anyway. I am growing tired of the super accurate, and perfectly balanced sound of my Vsonic GR-07 iems.   I can't listen to music on them, without hearing EVERY detail, and crazy resolution. While this is nice, I just can't get as into the musical experience as I would like to...

One question :   #1 - Does the port on a Dynamic IEM simply vent the casing, OR is it also for tuning the sound like a port on a loudspeaker ?    

I am very uninformed and unknowledgable when it comes to IEMs in general .... But I do have a pair of GR07s on the way.  Then I read where most Custom makers will not mess with a Dynamic driver set up .... WHY  ?     I aks because I just read how to make my own DIY Customs, and was thinking...

I ordered a Furutech Cruise headphone amp, and decided to go with a desktop instead.  And the Cruise has not even arrived yet !   Man we Headfiers are nutz !  I just ordered an amp I will be selling unopened ..... Am I the only one this crazy in this hobby ?

I need a tube amp with lots of drive, deep tight and fast bass, and that is not overly tubey sounding.  Any suggestions please ?   I will be driving Beyer DT880 / 600 ohm cans.

Any full size cans that have the dynamics, speed, energy, and awsome bass of the M50s, but with a less congested and more open and airy sound to them ?   How about under the $250 price point ?   Thanks

I mean ... are there companies that will take ANY quality IEM you send them and make them into customs for you ?

Does anyone make a portable USB DAC that uses the Wolfson chip set ?   I am looking at either a Devil'sound or a HRT Plus, but just wonder if I can do even better ?  Thanks for your opinions

I tried several of the online places some older threads mentioned where the Golds were selling for $170 as long as you called them, but none of those places still sells them. Can someone please direct me to a place for a great price on the Golds ?    Thanks

These were an adventure to make !  UPOCC stranded silver in Teflon with two shields, one foil and one braid, with a Teflon outer jacket and covered with cloth cable jacket. Connectors by Via Blue. It is a VERY flexible considering the use of Teflon.                  

I have a preamp which uses the Alps Blue Velvet volume control potentiometer. I want to make it motorized, and add a remote control. Anyone know of any simple kits to accomplish this with ?

Well ... I tried. I really enjoyed the journey too, but I am just not ever going to enjoy headphones as much as speakers. It's not like I didn't do it up right either !  I have one of the best solid state amps made, and a pair of T1s ...all with a great source, but in the end there just isn't...

Just wondering how many Headfiers are within a days drive of me .... Possible future local meets in mind.
