London Meet - Saturday 27th April
Ahhh!! So pleased. I've just read all 36 pages of this thread with increasing excitement, and then the past few pages with 20 left, 10 left, 7 left, 5 left etc have left me increasingly nervous! Looks like I'm just in time. Please please count me in! Relative novice, have just one...- infernojim

Best IEMs under £60?
I have the DTX 101's (the non iphone version, but sure they'd be much the same). They are excellent. Really well built, but compact and comfortable and light. Great bass, and clear, non sibillant highs. I haven't listened to the others, but think you could do much worse than get the...- infernojim

I tried that code yesterday, and it didn't give me a discount - :-( Maybe they've finally twigged that it's not a good business model to sell é100 phones for like a 3rd of the price! EDIT - tried again today, and it's fine! May have been because I tried from my phone!- infernojim

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Quote: Had a quick blast at lunch time listening to a few old favourites, Massive Attack, Radiohead and so on. Also cracked out Lamb - Gorecki, as there is so much going on in that song to challenge any earphone / hi-fi tech. Sounded incredible; great but not overpowering bass, really...- infernojim

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Hey there, both of my IEM's busted, both right feeds gone, maybe I have an evil right ear or something. :( As such, I've been listening to my ESW9 cans on the road at present, which I love - but would still like to have a good IEM alternative. Have got about £15 of vouchers for amazon, and...- infernojim

Best IEM under $100 for jogging and going to the gym.
Xears TDIII Blackwood's are great. I haven't used them for the gym, but they seal really well and sound lovely. See Jokers big thread for review: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/478568/multi-iem-review-172-iems-compared-xears-xr120pro-ii-kozee-e100-added-06-01#post_6492048 - search...- infernojim

Need some advice re truly portable Over Ear Headphones
Hey there, I've recently purchased a set of GMP 8.3500 headphones, on the premise that they can be easily driven by a DAP, which they certainly can, sound great, isolate great and are suitable for on the move without amplification. It would be fair to say that all of the above...- infernojim

HD650....and, are all headphones a big rip-off?
To me you're comparing apples with oranges. The only similarity is that both take music, driven through an amplifying device and make noise. You can't strap a set of floor standing speakers to your head (!!!), and walk around with them, and you can't turn on a set of headphones and expect...- infernojim

How's a Creative Zen Vision M fair powering mid range Headphones
Thanks both, I got my ZVM in 2008 I think and still going strong. I researched a lot about the sound at time, and got this above an ipod on strength of reviews etc. Pleased that it is still well regarded. Thanks a lot for the feedback without amping on the M50s and HD25s Danneq...- infernojim

How's a Creative Zen Vision M fair powering mid range Headphones
Hi guys, I have a Zen Vision M 30gb MP3 player and very much like it. I think it delivers a good sound. I have historically used IEMs, currently have a Hifiman Re0 and Xears TDX III, and they are both easily powered. The Xears are louder, comfortable listening on 15/16 out of 25...- infernojim

They've arrived today! Pretty impressed considering they've come all the way from Germany! Initial impressions are very positive. Only listened for about 1.5 hours though, as am at work. V good bass, but also pretty good detail. Their blowing my Phillips out of the water anyway, which is...- infernojim

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Thanks for such an amazing thread. I've got completely addicted to this site over the past few days. Having previously only ever ventured into "good quality" earphones once, with my Shure Se210s, which sadly died. I have, based on this thread, and my budget now splashed out on some...- infernojim

I ordered a set of these yesterday. Largely due to a combo of the joker reviews and value for money. Hope they are as good as they are reputed to be. Also, I'm new on here and am staggered by the dedication of some of the people on here. So many hours have gone into things like the review...- infernojim

london based iem retailers - recommendations??
Hey all, first post on here, have been reading up for a long while though. Simple question really - any good shops in London stocking a good range of iems? Also from expected, do any allow try before you buy, seems unlikely but worth an ask? Secondly, are there any UK online distributors for...- infernojim
