The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016
I turned the "gapless" feature on, and I don't see such issues now. All my tracks seem to start from the very beginning.- AlexTES

Wow. That's strange. I use 300 Ohm Sennheiser HD-580, and the maximum volume level I ever set was about 215-220 (also high gain). Higher levels lead to physical pain.- AlexTES

Some New Sennheiser Phones: The Ninety-Five Line
Thanks a lot for the detailed review. I read it carefully, then made an order, and now I'm a happy owner of PMX95's. They sound exactly as I expected; these headphones are a good outdoor/office addition to my HD580's, which I use at home.- AlexTES

I think, nothing. I'm very happy using DX50 with my 300 Ohm Sennheiser HD-580. Moreover, most likely you won't hear hiss, because high impedance headphones aren't over sensitive (opposite to many IEMs).- AlexTES

I do recommend the TagScanner (home page: http://www.xdlab.ru/en/index.htm). That's the best tag/file name manipulating SW I ever saw.- AlexTES

I guess, we can just cut a "proper" (metallic) wallpaper out from the iBasso's background image used on their web-site (http://ibasso.com/en/images/body_bg.jpg) Something like that:- AlexTES

The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016
Hi, just one thought regarding perception of DX50 by the audience. On the one hand, people discuss changes of SQ in different FW, and call those changes "huge", and make decisions either to "move to the next FW" or to "stay with the previous one". On the other hand, the same people claim...- AlexTES

Yeah, that's what I said earlier. Somebody in iBasso is making a mistake: either the support guy, or the programmer, or the design doc author, or the product architect. The entire picture they all provide is inconsistant and confusing. (and there's no need to explain me how subtractive EQs...- AlexTES

Here's their answer: "You can adjust the EQ for +/-6dB now. It is more than enough for a hifi player. We dont plan to have a larger adjustment." To me, it's hard to misunderstand it. :-)- AlexTES

If they really do, then iBasso made a mistake in the EQ implementation, because they explicitly claimed the EQ range is 12 dB. If the volume and the EQ steps are the same, then the EQ range is just about 6 dB. This explains why some people tell it's not enough for them. I guess, the...- AlexTES

Have anybody tried DX50 with iGrado? I use my DX50 with Sennheiser HD-580 at home, and I'm very happy. Now, I'm looking for something to be used together with the player in the office and outdoors. I understand that iGrado will sound worse than HD580. But... What about iGrado?- AlexTES

Hi. I complained about the EQ in the "bugreport" topic a few hours ago. But I experimented with settings and I think that the EQ works well - it just does something which is not exactly what we initially expect. I turned the EQ on and switched to the "custom" settings. Then I moved...- AlexTES

DX50 Bug List, Wish List Fix
That's right. I don't usually need the EQ. But when I reduce the volume (so that the music becomes a background), I'd like to boost basses and trebles. That's just a "Loudness compensation", a usual thing. The adjustments the 1.2.2 FW can make are just not enough. Or if they decide to...- AlexTES
