Best Soundtstage for gaming and classical music for $400
Amp is included in the $300 price range. Hell, make it $400 total. I've heard the AKG Q701 have an excellent soundstage. For around $200 and then maybe $200 towards a new amp. For music mostly but I need it for gaming too. Now I use the Sennheiser HD518--->Fiio E11--->Line out on the Fiio to 3.5...- Thatonedude2

Does an external DAC/Amp completely take over the onboard DAC of a player?
I need a way to play CD's and I don't want to spend a lot of money on a CD player. I know cheap CD's player generally sound like crap so if I connected an external DAC/Amp to one the CD player would only be used for spinning and reading the disk and my headphones would be completely powered by...- Thatonedude2

Best Open cans for The Beatles?
I've seen suggestions for the Grado SR225i but not to go any higher since the tracks are so old and only remastered. I've got a good collection of remastered Beatles cd's and I want to do them justice. Price range is around $200-$250,new or used. Source would be an Onkyo disk player and the...- Thatonedude2

Need some Deathcore recommendations
Such as Federal Death Alliance by I declare War. Must be decently recorded and not have horrible SQ like most songs in this genre.- Thatonedude2

Skullcandy appreciation thread
I've gotten around to demo quite a few Skullcandy headphones and while some are gimmicky like Skullcrushers or the new Crushers I find them not to be terribly overpriced compared to Monster and Bose. Their lower end models ($30-$100) in all honestly are not too bad. Obviously you can get better...- Thatonedude2

Is it worth replacing the grills with the 598's? I figure that would help open them up a bit.- Thatonedude2

Sennheiser HD518 Pad upgrade????
Is it worth it? The pads are a bit too stiff, probably because they're not velour like the above models. I believe the 598 pads would fit because it's the same headphone with different grills,pads..etc.. Is it worth the upgrade In terms if comfort and is there any difference in SQ???- Thatonedude2

I think there's something wrong with my ears...?
I got a pair of Sennheiser HD518's today as an upgrade for classical music from my M50's but surprisingly my M50's seem to have a wider soundstage and the 518's have better bass...? I feel like this should be totally opposite.- Thatonedude2

Need Help Choosing one of these headphones?
I need help choosing between the Sennheiser HD518 and the ATH-M50. These are my only two choices so I can't get anything else. I only listen to Classical and Opera music from my iPod and can get the 518's for $80 and the M50's for $120. So which is better for classical music? For at home use so...- Thatonedude2
