I need help choosing between the Sennheiser HD518 and the ATH-M50. These are my only two choices so I can't get anything else. I only listen to Classical and Opera music from my iPod and can get the 518's for $80 and the M50's for $120. So which is better for classical music? For at home use so I'm not worried about sound leakage or sound leaking in.

Sound alone the M50s are better. The 518's had some wooly sounding bass, whereas the M50s are tight and punchy.
But the HD518's are more comfortable for long listening sessions... whereas the M50s can become uncomfortable within 2 hours. I think for home use comfort should be also a main factor.

But the 518's are going to be better for classic you think? Considering they're open and have more of a soundstage?
