Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
I'm having a problem similar to the earlier poster - I just received these and they're very slightly louder / more pronounced on the left side, which is very irritating. I've tried changing cables and sources etc. and the problem seems to remain. Has this been an issue with anyone else?- ruch182

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
Thanks so much - £30 cheaper than if I had someone bring it from the US (and no import tax too because of the EU). Great deal.- ruch182

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
Ah no sorry I did mean the full size ones - bad wording! I meant a price that is closer to $200 than $300, so I'd probably buy them if they were to pop up at around $250. I have a relative coming from the US soon who could bring them over, so import tax is a non issue at the moment. Here in...- ruch182

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
Where's the cheapest place to pick these up from nowadays? I'm finally upgrading from my ATH-ES7's (a long time coming with 2 cable repairs...) and would definitely go for these if I can find them closer to the $200 mark.- ruch182

Broke my ATH-ES7s
update - I went a bit crazy and decided to get rid of the insulation on the wire to determine where the break was. It did indeed happen at the knot, so now what I need to do is recable the headphones completely as I'm now left with only the cable above the knot :( does your offer...- ruch182

Broke my ATH-ES7s
Quote: suicidal orange - no problem! thanks for the offer, honestly that would be great - how much do the parts to a new cable usually cost? If I'm replacing the cable obviously I'd want to get one of higher quality, (of sound and of durability), but my main problem is that I also...- ruch182

Broke my ATH-ES7s
I would have no problem recabling it if I actually had any idea what to do - I think the last time I properly used a soldering iron was when I was about 11 years old! It's a right hassle that ATH now charge about £40 for repair when 2 years ago it was half the price. Your idea for trading...- ruch182

Broke my ATH-ES7s
From taking it apart I can't tell where the problem is - the connections to the drivers look fine, as does everything else, so I'm guessing the cable has probably snapped somewhere within the insulation/casing of the wire? I'm guessing at the knot where the two cables meet? Would that be right...- ruch182

Broke my ATH-ES7s
when i plug it in i get no sound whatsoever - my main problem is determining whether the tug on the wire damaged the drivers or just the cable - and if the latter case, whereabouts it is broken.- ruch182

Broke my ATH-ES7s
ok how do i tell if there is damage to the drivers? as far as i can tell all the connections are hunky dory from the base of the can to the driver - so i'm guessing it's just a snapped cable? what would i need to look for in a faulty driver? All i see are two intact wires, one red and one...- ruch182

thanks for the help - I've never tried repairing headphones before so I'm not so sure how to even go about taking off the pads - do i just pull? edit: just managed to get them off - will report back as what the damage is!- ruch182

Broke my ATH-ES7s
It's a hassle to find a new pair in England - but I'd definitely end up spending more than £40 on a new pair - but it's genuinely hard to find a cheap real pair. I got lucky with mine and managed to pick em up second hand for £30 though.- ruch182

Broke my ATH-ES7s
Yesterday the two wires connected to the actual headphones were yanked pretty hard and now I'm getting no sound at all from either side - just spoke to audio technica and they've quoted roughly £40 for repair seeing as how I don't have warranty. I'm not entirely sure what the problem is...- ruch182

ATH-ES7
What are these headphones like for transporting / wearing in public? My budget is roughly around £90, and I need a good quality headphone that has very good bass (I listen to a lot of dub step / drum n bass, as well as rock / indie - esque music. They also need to be able to be worn in public...- ruch182

ATH-ES7
I've been looking to upgrade from my crappy old headphones and i think i've decided on these, but the price in UK stores seems a bit extortionate compared to US prices etc. Does anyone know the best place to buy these from that would be able to ship to the UK?- ruch182

Best portable headphones <$100
Yeh i agree they don't look that portable and look a bit too chunky. I listen to quite a range of music from rock/metal to hip hop to drum and bass - can the es7 handle it with only an ipod powering it?- ruch182

New Audio-Technicas: CK90PRO, ON300, WM55
the colours are horrible on the on300 as someone said above, the earth tones make them look more classy - these bright brash ones make them look quite cheap and plasticky. Maybe they'll grow on me and I'll get one I just bought the white on3, might get another colour if i like them.- ruch182
