LCD-X and XC Update
So I downloaded Peace and applied the presets. Now it appears there's a problem using the EQ settings with Foobar, I think more specifically WASAPI, since it hijacks PC audio. Any simple solution to this, or what's a good VST EQ to download where I can apply the settings to be compatible with...- the8o88y

LCD-X and XC Update
I recently got my now upgraded LCD-X back from Audeze. Reading through this thread has me curious about EQ'ing. I'm using Foobar, and its equalizer is pretty "meh" compared to what I was observing on the headphone show livestream. If I were to follow Resolve's adjustments as a starting point...- the8o88y

LCD-X and XC Update
Sorry if this has already been asked. Does anyone know if the Reveal plugin presets have been adjusted to coincide with these updates? If not then, would it be a better idea to listen to new LCD-X without Reveal and add EQ? With Reveal and add EQ? Without either? Thoughts?- the8o88y

Audeze SINE Series
Thanks for your impressions! I'm wondering when you ordered yours. I'm trying to gauge when I might receive the ones I ordered (on the 10th.)- the8o88y

Awesome. I was already looking into getting a balanced cable. I saw tiered copper and silver options, but nothing specific for Sine. Link please?- the8o88y

Audeze SINE Series
Alright, I am VERY close to pulling the trigger on this purchase. My only concern now is that I read a review on c-net that stated "it's not ideal for listening to rock tracks." I'd have to say that about 70% of what I listen to falls under the rock/metal category. Can anyone who has Sine...- the8o88y

Audeze SINE Series
Appreciate the response! Damn, that's tough. I love clear treble and open soundstage, but I really am not a fan of bass-neutral phones either. Is the lack of clarity in the Sine treble due to the tuning volume level or just seems less because of added bass? I'm also concerned about...- the8o88y

Audeze SINE Series
Sorry if I missed this, but does anyone have both Sine and Ether C? I'm wondering how they compare. Being that Sine is a third the cost of Ether C, I'm considering it more strongly if the overall improvement (if any) in Ether C is only marginal.- the8o88y

Line-out issues using Hifiman HM-901s for car stereo?
I am using my HM-901S as a transport/DAC with my car stereo and occasionally other home stereo systems. My connection setup is from line-out - lineout to red / white male rca cable - coupler - red and white male rca to aux cable - aux input. USB is not an option because the line-out to USB cable...- the8o88y

Official HIFIMAN HE1000 Impressions Thread
I've tried some great ss amps, but have never really tried tubes. I listened to a comparison on youtube between a Telecaster being played on a ss amp, and then tube, both Fenders, just to get an idea. The tube amp gave off a rich, lush, organic tone, while the ss amp seemed more...- the8o88y

Official HIFIMAN HE1000 Impressions Thread
Thanks, everyone! Money, I just read your review on Ether! -OUTSTANDING- work. I'm aware of the LCD-X mid-bottom heaviness, and my preference for it. I think that's why the HE-1K seems that much more derived to me in that sense compared to what is technically and graphically considered to be...- the8o88y

Official HIFIMAN HE1000 Impressions Thread
Hello everyone, I'm going to go ahead and try my hand at posting these impressions on the HE-1K, which will be my first. I eventually want to do full fledged pro-style bad-ass reviews, and I so I have to start somewhere. Since I've never really shared headphone impressions, my tendency...- the8o88y

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
Yes, they only send a 1/4 single ended cable unless you specifically ask for a 4-pin XLR (I forgot this time around), and occasionally the option isn't available, depending on the headphone. Any headphone rented from thecableco.com costs 5% of its retail price. The HEK was $150 to rent, with...- the8o88y

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
Has anyone here listened to the HE-1000 through both balanced and singled ended connections? I just received my rental HE-1K today, and wanted to compare it to my balanced LCD-X, but it only came with a single ended cable. Just wanted to know if there was a huge, or subtle, difference. Setup is...- the8o88y

Audio-GD Master 9
That's exactly what I hope to do soon. My current setup includes the M9 with a PWD MKII. I auditioned my M9, Ragnarok and four flagship phones, and ended up preferring the setup I've already had. I ended up sending Ragnarok back, as both amps were great, but I slightly preferred my current...- the8o88y

New Schiit! Ragnarok and Yggdrasil
Yes, it does (pair well with both.) I finished my M9 / Rok comparison with LCD-X yesterday, and just started with HD 800. The differences are not night and day, and both amps are amazing, nevermind price, but I slightly preferred the X with the M9. On the other hand, so far I slightly...- the8o88y

New Schiit! Ragnarok and Yggdrasil
I received the Rok Thursday afternoon, and the HE-6, HD-800, and GS-1000e borrowed from the Cable Co. I haven't had time until now because of work, but hopefully soon I'll be able to compare them, along with my LCD-X. I'll be using my PWD MkII to compare between the headphones, Rok and AGD...- the8o88y

HM-901
I'm still in question about how to go about using the 901 with my car stereo system for the best possible sound. I've searched for answers but probably haven't been going about it properly. HM-901
That's correct, I should have read up on that a bit more. I was used to connecting my iPod via usb to my stereo's 24-bit DAC. That being the case, for my car stereo system, would the SQ be better from the 901 headphone out with an aux cord?- the8o88y

I've been using my new 901 with LCD-X (balanced) and JH-16 the last couple of days. I am using the balanced amp card. Here are some preliminary findings: -The overall tonal clarity is unmatched by either of the other rigs I've owned. (iPod/JH-3A/Algorhythm Solo, and iPod/HiFi M8) ...- the8o88y
