On holiday in Spain, I lost my beloved Phonak Audéo PFE 111 earphones, as a stopgap I ordered the relatively cheap JVC HA-FRD60 IEMS, I'm quite pleasantly surprised with the sound quality for the price but the tips are quite uncomfortable. Comfortable Portable Headphones for large heads
Hi, I use AKG K550 in the office and my IEMs are Phonak Audeo 111 but I'd like portable headphones to use when travelling as a change from my IEMs. I have quite a large head and I'm struggling to find a pair that will sound great, be comfortable and provide low leakage and decent isolation...- ecosse_011172

Etymotic ER4 Replacement
My old ER4s have seen better days but I barely use them anyway as I find them so uncomfortable for more than 15 minutes. In the office I use AKG K550 headphones which I'm very happy with, I bought Sennheisser HD-25 II for portable use but they're also uncomfortable after some time as I have...- ecosse_011172

How comfortable are these headphones for extended use? I've given up on my Etymotic ERP-4 IEMs due to lack of comfort and also my Sennheiser HD25-SP II as I find them too unconfortable after a while due to having a large head. I'd love to be to replace them both for something that will have...- ecosse_011172

Hi, For home use I have AKG K550 which I'm very happy with. For portable use I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD-25 II which sound ok but I find uncomfortable for extended periods or when wearing glasses, I do have a large head! For years I have owned a pair of Etymotic ER-4s which I...- ecosse_011172

I can't find any headphones more suitable for me than the AKG K550, am I missing something? I want closed headphones with as close to zero leakage as possible and good isolation with a balanced to smooth sound to listen to mostly indie/rock/pop music, initially on an iPhone but may add an...- ecosse_011172

Audio Tecnica ATH-A700 Replacement
I use them mostly with my iPhone and have been considering a small headphone amplifier but have read so many mixed reports on how much of a difference in SQ it's likely to make unless the headphones are a bitch to drive. I'm open minded though.- ecosse_011172

After a few years, my Audio Technica's are dying and need replaced, they have too much leakage ow anyway.
