Introducing the Audeze LCD-R!
I've been running the LCD-Rs with a Chord Qutest since I got them (~2 years now) and just flipped it out for a Holo Spring KTE. Holy smooth and wide details, Batman! I also threw a Lokius into the mix and changed the source from a MacBook Pro to the iFi New Stream, but not all simultaneously...- axsnyder

An exploration of Chord DAVE, MScaler, Qutest, and Holo May, HQPlayer
Thanks for giving it a try. I have the preamp Spring 3. Would be odd if that changes things. I’ll reach out to Tim at Kitsune. So far I’ve just been bitching in this thread :deadhorse:- axsnyder

I have to unplug the XLRs from the Spring DAC. We may be saying the same thing.- axsnyder

An exploration of Chord DAVE, MScaler, Qutest, and Holo May, HQPlayer
It does not feed two amps at the same time. If XLR is plugged in, RCA does not function.- axsnyder

An exploration of Chord DAVE, MScaler, Qutest, and Holo May, HQPlayer
As a more casual audio hobbyist, I first want to thank all the technical posts in this thread for broadening my mind on capabilities. This education will affect future upgrade paths. This thread also helped me choose the Spring over the May. The extra $2,000 didn’t seem worth the extra gain and...- axsnyder

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Dropped off this morning. Been tuning and playing off and on. Music, podcast, more music, movie, more music. Haven’t tried a phone call yet. The FoKus Pro is more detailed than the Falcon Pro to my ears. Bass doesn’t hit as hard, but feels more refined. I’d be happy with either buds and even...- axsnyder

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
My Falcon Pros disappeared. in a house with 3 young kids, things like this happen. Hopefully they show up soon. After a few weeks without, I broke down to get the FoKus Pros. Looking forward to giving them a spin when the brown truck arrives today or Monday.- axsnyder

Shanling M8 Android Portable player
Turbo gain between 68 and 73 on the sound bar is pretty good with the Diana Phi’s! I am delightfully surprised. Usually these cans need something with a lot more oomph than a portable device. Listening to the Di Phi’s in the office is a real treat! Yay for the M8.- axsnyder

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!
Me too. I see you're in photography, so I'll just tell you I'm crazy impressed with the iPhone 13 Pro's image-taking capabilities. Normally, I'd throw my 90mm tilt/shift on a large aperture for a product shot like this. When the phone can mimic a 600mm f4, the Canons will get really dusty...- axsnyder

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!
Office day with the “new to me” Diana Phi. The details in these bad boys are some of the best I’ve ever heard. Thoroughly enjoying this work day! Shanling M8 on Turbo gain is satisfying. Looking forward to playing with some larger gear at home.- axsnyder

HIBY R6 - DAP Dual DAC Balanced Out - Great Reviews and Over 500% Funded @ Indiegogo!
I finally got around to looking at my R6 more. I was planning to repair it, but the battery bulge pushed things so far out I think the damage is beyond repair. It has been disposed of. Shame, as this thing was a nice piece of gear. The old Magic 8 Ball says "outlook not good" for whether I...- axsnyder

Holo Audio Spring R2R DAC
Between this thread and Cameron’s review I’m $3,900 lighter. I was pretty much sold on this DAC weeks ago, but Cameron’s argument for adding the preamp put me over the top for the loaded version- axsnyder
