Sub $500 full size closed headphone recommendations?
Thoughts on the audioTechnica A1000Z vs Beyer T70?...I like the idea of the audeze SINE with larger pads (got links?) but wouldn't the smaller cups get hot? I'd probably have them on my head 6+ hours a day... The Meze are gorgeous, but almost too much so! They make me feel self-conscious just...- Zemo

Sub $500 full size closed headphone recommendations?
Using an odac/O2, what closed cans would folks recommend for varied musical tastes in the sub-$500 range? I like punchy, tight, and extended bass, a wide soundstage, and clear highs with a little sparkle. Think experimental jazzy electronically RnB classic classical...etc. Currently using...- Zemo

"Millett Hybrid" redux: NuHybrid headphone amp, using the Korg Nutube
I've missed all the diy tinkering, so I thought this might be a good project to get back into practice with a soldering iron. Thanks for putting this together, Pete! One question - I have a bunch of wima film caps at 250v 1uf...any benefit to using these over the 1nf caps anywhere? Just trying...- Zemo

Portable rugged bluetooth speakers recommendations?
I'm looking for a speaker to be ran over bluetooth from my android phone, mostly for music outdoors (parks, biking, beach, camping). I need the speaker to get loud and be rugged, while still sounding decent (I'm not doing any critical listening with a bluetooth speaker, and it may get...- Zemo

The Music that defines me....
Here's an idea....though I'm not sure if it's legal.... If each person would reccomend a song from each artist they list, I could compile a "sampler album" for each person and host it....though, that's not RIAA friendly is it? -
The Music that defines me....
Haha, yeah, I dissapeared for a while...I'm back! Excellent taste in music, by the way. -
ASIO vs Kernal Streaming?
If I'm doing more sound processing, ASIO wins out for me, simply for flexability. However, it is harder on your computer. KS should sound nearly identicle, with less tweaking flexability...- Zemo

The Music that defines me....
So, the music that you most frequently listen to has a tendancy to define you...and everybody listens to something different! Everyone list what artists they listen to most frequently (say, within' the last week)...I'd love to discover new music! My list: The Notwist Mr. Scruff The... -
Update on amp ordered more 1 1/2 months ago
After reading over this, I think you're talking about me and Z-audio...I assume you're JGE? I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough in the emails, my apologies. Although, since this is public, I would like to explain a bit to avoid any negative ideas... The shipping situation has been a bit...- Zemo

First Impression of Lambda (Z-audio)
Thanks for the posts, guys! I would like to say a couple things...First off, I agree that the cases are somewhat ugly, but for the amplifier, the internals is number one priority, and I couldn't fit the internals I designed in a hammond case. The only case I could find that would fit the form...- Zemo

Ahoy! another Oregon meet?
James, if they can't be fixed under warranty, you could always get a re-cable! Heck, I could bring my tools to the meet and we could do it there!- Zemo

i-Audio Lambda Review
Excellent review, thanks! And do mention anything possibly "negative" about the amp you find, I'm always looking for ways to improve the design! i.e. the difficulty of fitting batteries, the clunking around inside of the batteries, that sorta thing.- Zemo

Z-Audio Mu Impressions
Thanks for the review Abe! As far as the home amps go, I've run into a bit of a roadblock...the PCB for the prototype Psi amp has been misplaced! I've been moving around a lot lately, and despite UPS having it confirmed as being delivered, I can't find it! I'm sure it'll turn up eventually, and...- Zemo

Pics of my new Evo and a friend's 2.5RS with my new Rebel xt!
yeah, I know how to fix the lens flare problem, and yeah, it's the kit lense. And yeah, they're over exposed....I usually shoot with a lower exposure compensation, and for some reason I had it off and didn't notice. Also, the retouching I did in PS did some of that....just messing around with...- Zemo
