Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp
It's a tough one. If I had to choose one device to do it all, it would be the RU7 hands down thanks to it having balanced out and more power, 100 volume steps vs only the 30 on the FC6 along with many more features. However, when it comes to sound, there's a subtle difference - the RU7 is more...- isis

Happy to report that both the RU7 and Hiby FC6 work perfectly with their bundled USB-C cables on my iPhone 15 pro max EDIT: Using the SE, i don't have a balanced cable to test out the full power. EDIT 2: Tried it out with balanced 4.4mm and it still works perfectly!- isis

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
Thanks for the impressions and it's good to see the APM in the hands of an audiophile! Is the H95 and Aonic 50 better than the APM in terms of clarity and details in the mids and highs? Specifically electric guitar and bite in the crunch?- isis

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
I can speak for the Momentum 3 and the fact that it's sound leakage is way above average. When at work, I need to lower the volume by a couple of notches relative to the volume I'd normally like to listen to. Momentum 2 was much more acceptable in this regard. It's SQ is a bit too bass heavy...- isis

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
Really interested in these. Currently have the Momentum 3 wireless which sound so much better with the new eq update. Wondering how these compare with an eq'd M3, specifically given that the sens have a relatively wide soundstage which I really didn't get from other ANC sets I tested. Also...- isis

Shure AONIC 50 Headphones and AONIC 215 Earphones
Looking forward to hearing more about these from you! I'm also wondering how bad the bass takes a hit when being listened to with glasses on - an issue I believe to be pretty prominent on the Dali's.- isis

ANC for the audiophile?
If classical is your gig then you should definitely check out the Dali io-6. It’s the most transparent and detail oriented noise canceller on the market. M&W MW65 is similar but smoother. B&W PX7 if you want the best soundstage along with a v-shaped sound signature and the most well rounded...- isis

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones
If you thought the bose cans were too flat then I’d steer clear of the Dalis since they actually seem do indeed seem to be bass-light. Consensus seems to be that the M3s are the ‘best’ sounding set by a smidge, followed by the PX7 - albeit a bit heavy on the bass. I believe they probably sound...- isis

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones
Thanks for the feedback on the ANC. Dali was supposedly using Sony’s ANC chip so I was expecting it to do better. SQ is my only concern though. It would be amazing if you could answer a few questions I have. Do you miss anything in the Dali’s bass response when compared to the PX7? Would you...- isis

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones
Please keep in mind that not everybody has this privilege. Trust me, if I had that option where I live, I wouldn't be looking at graphs. Don't have the option to buy online and return as well. Graphs don't say much but do at least present a semblance of how the overall sound signature would be...- isis

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones
Wonderful, wonderful post. I agree with you entirely and the only reason why I haven't blind bought the Dali is because I NEED to see some measurements just to get a fair idea on what kind of sound signature is being produced - because I too suspect that it may be bass-lite. Moreover, as I've...- isis

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones
There have been comparisions over at the Dali Headphones thread: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/dali-headphones.914701/ In short, the IO-6 seems to be **** on every ANC set in exisence in terms of SQ - with the one caveat being that the bass is extremely neutral. There are probably more...- isis

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones
That's a shame. I now have my eye on the Dali IO-6 and the early reviews are extremely promising in terms of sound quality (neutral bass). Those 50mm drivers seem great, but they also make it a very bulky and heavy headphone. Master & Dynamics MW65 is also a beautifully tuned headphone, but...- isis

Sony MDR-1000X
Tempted to cancel my pre-order and wait for a couple of more comparisons as I care more about SQ vs ANC. The P7 seems good but too mids-recessive for my taste, the Momentums also seem a good choice but for the niggly bluetooth issues. But for people who absolutely need ANC, seems like the...- isis

I found a frequency graph of the 1000X here: http://www.lesnumeriques.com/casque-audio/sony-mdr-1000x-p34767/ifa-2016-notre-presentation-casque-sony-mdr-1000x-n55605.html Seems pretty good. Looking at it, it seems like the sound signature is U-shaped with sort of a treble peak at 8k. ...- isis
