usb dac better than hm-801 as source
as title can anyone tell me a dac say under £300 thats a better source than the hm-801 when its used as a player not a usb dac if you get my meaning current set up is slo2 ,neco v2 twin 8610 wolfsons and ahd2000 looking for a cheaper way to get the same or better sound cheers- Antony L

[Impression] FiiO X3 – High Fi, Low Price.
Ive got one of the very first sflo2s just wondering how the x3s line out compares and if as the sflo uses twin dacs exactly the same if it would be a downgrade ? Have a neco v2 driving d2000s via line out- Antony L

Came from the hfi 780s but find my d2000s an upgrade , the highs seem very pure and not spikey and shrill and the lows reach much deeper . Would be very interested to try the d7000s but tbh im happy with these plus one reveiw says the 7000s have looser bass due to the greater internal...- Antony L

the 7100s price is now £450 in uk ,half tempted to give them a try ,having read the thread not sure what to expect but i know i love my d2000s my hope would be bigger soundstage even smoother highs and even better bass- Antony L

Sansa Clip+ vs Cowon D2+
ive got the clip zip and the d2 is much better ,the clip is always freezing and the sq is just average ,my sflo2 is much more stable and betters both- Antony L

my d2000 wire tangle mod !
got a bit frustrated with the small wires from my d2000 ,every tangle was leaving a nasty little kink in the wire so this was my soloution ,you may think its rubbish but it works for me ,just used £1 cable tidy and cut to lenth its very light so thats not a problem- Antony L

I am loving my denon d2000s ,great soundstage (wont be as big as the ad700) but the thing i am liking best compared to my hfi780s is the endless lower bass (also great impact ,was always told they had no impact) and the general clarity of the sound ,also vocals are lush and clean for an open...- Antony L

Cowon D2+ vs. S:Flo2 is it an upgrade?
I sold the d2 on hearing the slo2 ,sort of wish i had kept it as a work player,the sflo is amazing i have one of the first , it never locks up ,its responsive and simple to use . battery life errr im not sure as i use it as a home player with the charger connected ,i use it via a neco soundlabs...- Antony L

Neco Soundlab Dual-Mono 18v rechargeable portable amp
had quite a budget to spend on a big audio upgrade ,after buying necos v2 I spent it on a panasonic g20 42 plasma instead! his stuff is amazing ,the amp completed my sound adding more bass more space ,more everything ,the people overlooking these amps are really missing something!- Antony L

as an owner of one of the first sflos i can say i have no regrets what so ever ,i find it responsive and easy to use ,the sound quality is amazing and for the price it cant be beaten ,people complain about it but the makers have listened and tried to give us audiophile performance at a low price .- Antony L

my other half loves her zen stone plus for this ,its been through the washer afew times and still works ,has good volume levels with stuff like px100 ,porta pro ,sounds ok as well- Antony L

wish the x7 had a line out (or does it?) im more than happy with my sflo2 sound via neco and ultrasones but i loved my d2 ,and the battery life is pretty poor on the sflo ,it just sounds so damn good ,why cant they give us more decent line outs on mainstream players?- Antony L

Just got a neco soundlabs portable to go with the sflo2 and it sounds amazing ,the bass extends alot deeper and the soundstage has expanded ,i think the twin opamps pair well with the twin dacs- Antony L

just got one of these ,ive always been very happy with my caffine ultra but this is something else ,no subtle improvement here ,it blows your socks off! the soundstage is bigger and very 3d! ,the highs clean and clear and the lows extend very deep (deeper than the ultra with bass boost on) it...- Antony L

thinking about trying a tube amp and my question is ,is it worth trying the very budget route i.e bravo/indeed ect ,seems the indeed g3 is the best of the bunch with the new mosfet added or little dot 1+ for a little more? the main cans used are the hfi780s so not exactly hard to drive just...- Antony L
