THE COMPOSER OPEN BACK FLAGSHIP by AUSTRIAN AUDIO
The Neumann is not particularly stellar specimen in terms of objective performance really? I think there is a fairly high chance this outperforms the NDH30 if that is your metric of comparison. Also as mentioned, AA is the ex AKG engineers. This is particularly of note because AKG naturally has...- Hi-Fi-Apricity

This is a very good condition (considering its age) and fairly rare ATH-AD2000; the original non X version. It is legendary for it's euphonic midrange and relatively non fatiguing sound. It has essentially new black Yaxi pads on it as well as the original pads, although I do not have the...- Hi-Fi-Apricity

Audeze CRBN Interview, Review, Measurements
Interested to see how this performs in comparison to the HE60 and SR-007. Two estats I find vastly superior to the 009 in almost all respects. The emphasis around 1 -2k reminiscent of the SR-009 makes me a bit anxious of it sounding thin though!- Hi-Fi-Apricity

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
Is there any news of when the circumaural more conventional RAAL/Requisite headphone is supposed to make an appearance? I remember Aleksander from RAAL mentioning it a few years back though I haven't seen anything since. I saw that their new amplifier has a "circumaural" switch so I anticipate...- Hi-Fi-Apricity

My DIY electrostatic headphones
I have a question to the fellows here. I have very little CAD experience and I have been using Fusion 360. Fusion 360 does not have a fill pattern tool like solidworks so how does everyone here go about filling the Stator with holes?- Hi-Fi-Apricity

The Stax Thread III
Thankyou! Woah that is very impressive. I also do not believe that graphs tell the whole story but they at the very least can give me a very rudimentary idea and confirm something isn't completely busted. You mention on your site that there are 2 different pad choices? Which did you use for the...- Hi-Fi-Apricity

The Stax Thread III
Would you happen to have a frequency response graph of the ES1a? You say its for those that don't like the 009 or prefer a different flavor. I have not heard the original omega but is it safe to say it sounds more akin to the 007 than the 009 or 009S? I was never much a fan of the 009 and 009S...- Hi-Fi-Apricity

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
Can anyone comment on how the RAAL handles sub 100hz EQ. Say a rising shelf filter that peak at +6db at 20hz to account for the rolloff. Assuming you feed in sufficient clean power. Im not a loud listener at all FYI. I also considered the potential option of having it peak at 6db at 33hz and...- Hi-Fi-Apricity

First impressions of the HEDD Electrodynamic Designs HEDDphone prototype
You mentioned the speed and the Stax comparison. I wanted to know how you would compare to this to the 007 (assuming you have heard it), which happens to be my favourite Stax.- Hi-Fi-Apricity

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
They were connected to the Benchmark AHB2 or whatever its called. I can see why someone would like the SR1a if they are a fan of the 009 sound. But it didn't seem like a headphone that 007 lovers could love. Just my 2C- Hi-Fi-Apricity

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
When I heard the Sr1a it was more of an 009 tuning, bright, thin, lacking weight. Generally fake and incorrect sounding. One might call it "Hi-Fi" but it's far from correct- Hi-Fi-Apricity
