Compact receiver with 3+ USB inputs?
Hi all! I have 3 computers on my desk (two macs, one windows pc if this matters) and I jump between these often. I want an easy way to route audio to my headphones from any of the computers with a simple button press. Are there any compact audio receivers to place on a desk that have 3 or more...- Croftengea

Reasonably priced portable on-ears for kids
Thanks for the advice! KSC75 - kids will strugle to put it on properly I guess. Sportapro has pretty complex fixation parts from what I see on pictures, more parts sooner it breaks. But Skullcandy Icon looks promising, small and simple. Can anyone please confirm Skullcandy Icon fits...- Croftengea

Reasonably priced portable on-ears for kids
Hi all! Can you please recommend some reasonably priced on-ears for kids? Criteria in order of importance: - Price range 30-40$ (yes I know it's not much but they can be lost or broken any time) - Comfortable for a small head - Portability (ideally very light, foldable in a hard...- Croftengea

Best foldable headphones for under 140 € ?
I haven't heard PX200 but I really enjoy DTX 501p - for what it costs good sound and great comfort and portability. Number of people on this forum prefer 501p over PX200 for a better SQ.- Croftengea

ELE DAC vs MacBook Pro internal DAC - virtually the same SQ?
I've checked some reviews of A900X on youtube (not too useful for me because most of them japanese) and the main thing I got from them - A900Xs aren't big, they are huge! Actually I was thinking about something more portable. I've read a lot of positive stuff about V-Modas M-80. Are thsese a...- Croftengea

Choices between lots of Sennheisers
Hi, I'm no pro and can't give you advice on the specific models (even though Momentums look like a solid choice, especially for the prices you quoted) but Youtube is a very bad source to enjoy music - their song bitrates are unacceptable in most cases. If you look for clarity and resolution and...- Croftengea

ELE DAC vs MacBook Pro internal DAC - virtually the same SQ?
Thanks for your advice! You are so right - I took a 4 year old Dell notebook and tested it with and without the ELE DAC - the SQ difference is pretty apparent. As for better headphones - which ones (of the similar form factor) would you recommend as a cost-effective upgrade (so the jump in...- Croftengea

ELE DAC vs MacBook Pro internal DAC - virtually the same SQ?
Hi all! Recently I have purchased an ELE DAC in hope that I will get some sound improvements. However, I don't hear any significant differences in sound quality comparing to internal DAC of my MBP. My setup is MBP/iTunes -> ELE DAC -> Beyer DTX 501p. I have tried to play both 256kbit AACs...- Croftengea

Senn CX 300 II or Soundmagic E10 or some other in this budget ?
If you hear a sibilance in CX300 then VC02 is a no-go for you. VC02 is a king of sibilance imo.- Croftengea

Looking for IEM better than SE435, at least good as CX300 !
I mean the ones introduced a year ago which come w/iPhone5 - EarPods. They are neither IEMs nor usual ear buds but rather something inbetween. Insertion is deeper which means better bass. I'm not sure if it can be called punchy though...- Croftengea

Forgive me if I sound too obvious, but if iPhone support is mandatory have you tried the new Apple Earbuds? They are good and IMO sound way better than CX300.- Croftengea

How do you get the best sound quality?
Just to add to the previous comment - Youtube is the worst source for listening a good audio. Youtube's audio is always compressed and in most cases compressed literally to death. There are few HD videos which have 192kbps sound (codec bitrate, not sampling rate!) but its not even close to your...- Croftengea
