I found that I was able to resolve the probelm of the fabric touching my ear by adjusting the positioning on my head. So play around with the cups and see if can make it more comfortable.- bobcow120

From what I recall it puts about 500mW into 32 ohms. If that's the case I think it should drive the 600 ohms fine. I use a E10 on low gain at about 4/9 for my 250 ohms and they only put like 150mW into 32 ohms.- bobcow120

The tube sound from the vali should be good with the DT880. 600 should be ok but since 250 is cheaper I see no reason to get the 600 unless you reaally want them.- bobcow120

Yea that's what I considered also. However, since there is the diagonal cardboard that holds the headphones that aren't included in the box where the cans come in the case makes it seem like it's not a returned item. Unless....they have those specific pieces of cardboard just for returns missing...- bobcow120

So to my suprise I am able to get perfectly fine volume straight out of my laptop with my DT880 Pros. Being 250 ohms I thought I'd only be able to get them barely audible. I've been playing around with them ampless and with the e10. So far the only really noticable difference, to me, is the...- bobcow120

Yup same here. Came with a carrying bag though... Also, I've emailed Beyer and they said that new Pros and Premiums should come with a case so I don't think they change anything. Maybe just this specific batch?- bobcow120

How many headphones are too many?
So far I have 4: 1 cheap IEM for everyday use, 1 nice IEM for when I need isolation, 1 on ear, 1 over ear open. I think I'll get one more over ear closed to complete the set.- bobcow120

The two are generally considered equals but each person's sonic preference will determine which pair they prefer. Seeing as the DT880 pro can be found for around $200, it would probably make them a better value. However, if you are not a fan of their sound signature then $300 for the HE-400...- bobcow120

E10 vs magni/modi
I'm leaning towards the E10 for the price. It seems that the magni/modi will not offer significantly better sound and it's about 3x the price with cables and shipping. If the E10 is good for 250 ohms I don't really see myself getting headphones with much higher impedence in the near future.- bobcow120

E10 vs magni/modi
Does the E10 drive 250ohms well or is it barely enough to make it loud enough? Also is the E10 compatible with windows 8?- bobcow120
