Thanks. It seems they're not suited for that purpose. I'll probably get them anyway since they seem to offer the kind of sound I like. I'll get something else for workouts.- Tehol

Question for those of you that do HIIT style workouts, do these stay in pretty well? I really think I'll like the sound and need an over ear and snug fit because I do jump rope and boxing style workouts. Anything wireless or not routed over my ears falls out pretty fast and some have said...- Tehol

January 30th: Arizona Head-Fi Meet Q1 2016
Well, crap. I was so excited about the new scope and rifle arriving this weekend I forgot all about this meet. It was still a great day overall and I hope it was a grand event for everyone.- Tehol

Review of Audio Technica ATH-CKR9 & ATH-CKR10
I don't think the 9s are too analytical and the 10s are indeed warmer. I stayed with the 10s mostly because I'm too averse to bright-sounding headphones. I don't fault the 9s in taht regard, it really is my intolerance for even occasional peakiness or sibilance. The bass is good in both but...- Tehol

Review of Audio Technica ATH-CKR9 & ATH-CKR10
Yes, it could be that the pair I returned had some factory defect or was a refurbished pair. I was careful to not declare them to be fake for certain. Some aspects were exactly the same, such as the design of the box and the earpieces. The sound was just different - weak, not full or as...- Tehol

Review of Audio Technica ATH-CKR9 & ATH-CKR10
Very good, warm but great detail, forward mids, great vocals. I chose them over the CKR9 because of my preference of signature and liked them better in a side-by-side with the Trinity Delta. I mention it in an earlier thread but ran into the issues ordering a second pair as a gift. I've seen...- Tehol

Review of Audio Technica ATH-CKR9 & ATH-CKR10
I am going to offer a perspective on counterfeit CKR10s. I purchased multiple pairs and there were differences in the packaging and dimensions. There were also differences in the sound. Packaging: the packaging came in two forms. This could simply be a change on the part of AT but when I...- Tehol

I hope things improve in VE, things have been deteriorating there for a while. In recent years I was trying to maintain too many hobbies, Italian motorcycles, gaming PCs, firearms, moderate level prepping, portable audio. Then I had a kid and I started paring back mostly because there are not...- Tehol

Review of Audio Technica ATH-CKR9 & ATH-CKR10
I really like the 10s so far and think they were the right choice for me. I'm surprised how comfortable they are and stay in my ears really well. The bass is a bit too present on certain tracks but they only have a day or so of play time. Vocals are great on them.- Tehol

Review of Audio Technica ATH-CKR9 & ATH-CKR10
I've been reading through this thread and other and the CKR9/10 both have my keen interest (among a couple others). They're both within the budget since the 10 has come down under $200. I favor a neutral-ish profile but like a bit of warmth or color and listen to a few genres but would like...- Tehol

Dunu DN-1000 - Dunu's hybrid IEM - Impressions thread
Thanks for answering. :) Has anyone heard of the stiffening cable causing a problem after a year or more? The slow/lack of response of their CS concerns me a bit. (edit) I've been reading through much of the thread and have a handle on the cable issue, i guess I was being a little lazy.- Tehol

HiFiMan RE-600 Review
I'd love to get those and thanks so much for the recommendation. I set a $200 budget for new IEMs and have to stick to it. These are funds diverted from another, costlier hobby The re600 came in just under budget too, alas.- Tehol

Trinity Delta Review by mark2410
Mark I believe I have a similar preference for mids and dislike for aggressive treble. How would you compare the DN-1000 to the Deltas?- Tehol

I love your music choices for your reviews (enjoy those too). There have been several artists of whom I was unaware that I am now enjoying (listening to Amanda Marshall as I type.) I'm interested in the Deltas and the DN-1000. I was first leaning toward the Dunu but the black filter seems...- Tehol

HiFiMan RE-600 Review
These arrived with a defective jack. Yeah they sound good but it's still disappointing to have the bad rep for QC confirmed within five minutes. That these were $400 initially seems a bit crazy. The sound does seem very nice, I love the neutral sound, the mids are good, the bass was textured...- Tehol

HiFiMan RE-600 Review
with trepidation I ordered a set of the re600s. having read the last dozen pages I have a little heartburn and wonder if my desire for strong mids and pleasing vocals overcame my better judgment. I may spend a few extra dollars for an AHD replacement warranty. I'm glad yours held up...- Tehol

I'm about to buy the RE600 to use with the X3 and have a quick question
dumb/poorly phrased question? Wrong forum? I'll just order them, they seem like the ticket. I was avoiding looking for a new source or amp as well.- Tehol
