My AOS Flute has arrived...
Comparing the Flute to the DAC1. That's fairly difficult. I would say the DAC1 has superior speed, imaging, and soundstage size. However, the Flute has the same amount of detail, same amount of both bass and treble extension. I feel the Flute has superior treble response; it is simply more...- TrevorNetwork

My AOS Flute has arrived...
Rather than speculating, why not simply drop a PM to AOS to get the facts "straight from the horse's mouth" and post them up.- TrevorNetwork

Is anyone else underwhelmed with the Grace m902?
I auditioned the Grace 901, and felt that as a package it was a good deal. I have not yet heard the m902. It may be that the sound provided by the m902 is just not your bag. You may even be a valve guy. I find it odd that the USB input would not sound the same as the coax/optical input. Perhaps...- TrevorNetwork

My AOS Flute has arrived...
AOS and I compared the Flute to my Dynahi + DAC1 setup, and felt the Flute faired very well. Full disclosure, I am a manufacturer of Dynahi amplifiers, I like the DAC1, and I would consider AOS a friend of mine. However as many know, I also call a spade a spade. As you may all know the Flute...- TrevorNetwork

My AOS Flute has arrived...
Bare in mind AOS has performed modifications to the Flute. It is my understanding that although the Piccolo's DAC is nearly identical, the performance of the Flute's DAC is superior. Where the Flute really runs away from the pack is its headphone amplifier. Now that is impressive.- TrevorNetwork

My AOS Flute has arrived...
I was listening to a final version of the Flute at AOS' home yesterday, and needless to say I was blown away. What a phenomenal sounding product. The Flute is by some margin the best portable amplifier I have ever heard. Nevermind the excellent DAC! Enjoy this one guys! AOS has put alot of work...- TrevorNetwork

Hey guys. I have received many PMs from newer members verifying that they're welcomed to attend. My response is: of course, absolutely! Bring whatever gear, music, and such you have. Most importantly bring yourself (and some beer; corona, rickerd's red, stella artois if you're so inclined! ). I...- TrevorNetwork

Benchmark DAC1 and K1000?
I felt the K1000 worked fine directly from the DAC1. In fact, I felt it sounded quite good. I had it at ~1:00, and it was plenty loud, and dynamic. I have not personally tried the tri-path with the K1000s.- TrevorNetwork

The BiCode amplifier is a PPL design, and, from what I understand will only be sold through LaRocco Audio. Pictures of the alpha-level BiCode that was at the meet can be found in both eric343 and my pictures. -

They were the crappy neutrik jacks. From now on, I'm only using N-locking and N-Combo jacks.
