Douk Audio U2 Pro DDC - Poorman DDC for an affordable & clean digital signal
Understood and shame about the licensing situation, albeit understandable for a small company. I will be keeping the Douk U2 pro (base version) though, which is sounding excellent regardless! Currently connected to my adi 2 dac FS with a cheap 30cm Van Damme plasma 75 ohm coax cable, from a...- BrainFood

Douk Audio U2 Pro DDC - Poorman DDC for an affordable & clean digital signal
thanks for that, and nice to have control over latency settings in the TUSB audio control panel finally. The only negative is that it's an even older driver than the one uploaded by Douk. If anyone here knows how to edit a more recent xmos version to allow this, then that would be appreciated...- BrainFood

Douk Audio U2 Pro DDC - Poorman DDC for an affordable & clean digital signal
I'm using Windows 10 LTSC and it doesn't provide a native driver for the U2 Pro. Is the driver mentioned on the Douk site (3004 v.4.13.0) still the only one to use, as it seems a little on the old side -) Also does anyone know how to edit it to allow for control over buffer settings? The above...- BrainFood

iFi audio ZEN Blue - The Official Thread
Hi, actually there is something: My previous v1 stayed on permanently when playing music. With the new v2, it shows the codec colour for about a second before going off and staying off. Is that as it should be? It has the lastest v2 firmware. Many thanks... Edit: it's been confirmed a fault.- BrainFood

When toggling the analogue/ digital switch to change between analogue and digital output, is it also necessary to switch off & switch on the Zen Blue v1? I just want to check this is normal behaviour. Edit: Never mind..I've contact support 🙂 TIA- BrainFood

any recommendations for a 'good value' balanced cable with XLR? Total length of about 4 metres, althought that can include an extenstion cable if need be. To my SP200 amp.- BrainFood

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I recently returned a hd600 that also was a tad warm/ muffled. In comparison to my 58x, it was less sharp in the treble area, which was unexpected tbh- BrainFood

SMSL SP200 THX AAA 888 Balanced AMP!
HI. Right now I cannot really give concrete comparison of ADI-2 amp and ADI-2/SP200 because of issues with my source (dual pc set up), which might be influencing the sound. However, what I have noted so far is: I prefer the Sundara through the ADI-2 headamp (high gain), as mids sound fuller...- BrainFood

SMSL SP200 THX AAA 888 Balanced AMP!
Hifiman Sansara's are sounding mighty fine on the SP200! I'm at the tightest setting on their metal headband though, which is 'just' about ok on my small head. I'm not sure whether to keep or return them, as they could conceivably lose more clamp with use, making them too loose.:worried: Seems...- BrainFood

SMSL SP200 THX AAA 888 Balanced AMP!
Realised that my SP200's potentiometer doesn't change volume from 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock, so wondering whether to return it. Otherwise, the amp works fine with no detectable channel imbalance and sounds great.- BrainFood

Lunashops cable for HD 58x
Need to make a quick purchasing decision and looking to change my stock HD58X cable to a 3 metre, silver plated one with XLR 4 pole connectors. These Chinese Lunashops ones seem to be a good deal at around $70 each. Any suggestions for which one to go for appreciated :-)...- BrainFood

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
Nice. Have you noticed any SQ difference between the two? Do they feel heavier compared to the stock cable in use? Did you incur import fees? I need a 3 metre length, which costs around $70. I noticed this one as well , 4 x 100 cores, but no idea how it compares to 8/ 16 core cable...- BrainFood
