Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Sorry for late reply to those that answered my query on differences between SE846 and K10, thank you!!....understandable if Noble won't go through with black Friday deal this year...I'm fine with the se846 for now, but as soon as the deal comes available, in the checkout basket the k10 goes, i'm...- monoboy

How can I possibly without listening???? I already have the se846, love love the bass impact, perhaps if anyone or a few of you can say if the k10 is more detailed, better bass in comparison? I can base a decision from that.- monoboy

Awesome comparison!!! 846's are very special indeed, although to quickly mention the recent firmware update for hm901 has improved navigation, much faster and responsive.- monoboy

hehe I think it does boil down to taste aswell, also the style of music would be a massive deciding factor - electronic, dubstep, trance just sounds flat out amazing with the se846!! Ashame about the cable, you got a spare stock cable around?- monoboy

hey, dunno if i entirely agree with you, ironically what your saying is that hes flat out ignoring me based on that my question has no relevance? Speculation ofcourse, but if so that is actually quite rude of him! Even a simple reply with 'No, sorry i dont have any experience with Whiplash...- monoboy

Brand New : Tralucent Audio Ref.1 Too & original Ref.1
I had asked him some questions about the stock/whiplash cable, no point now as i no longer have the ref 1, just felt like i had spent a fortune on his iem, and he just dropped off the radar! I'm sure he's busy with other stuff, but little things like this will get to me a little :) no worries...- monoboy

thanks man! I knew i needed the se846 when Warrior1975 kindly loaned me his set, just seriously was like WOW, so much clearer then Ref 1's, the bass is ALOT better defined, mids are are upfront and lush (ref 1 is recessed a little). Ref 1 sounds a little bloated and not as clear, a little...- monoboy

Sennheiser IE800 IEM's
I have owned the ie 800 and loved the sound (from a 1 dynamic driver, great engineering!). However i couldn't get a good fit, thanks to the silly proprietary tips...I have the se846 and could not be happier, fit is perfect, and has a lush full sound - the ie 800 has a little airiness to the...- monoboy

Hey guys, still loving my 846'!!!!! will not trade these up for anything, only when Shure release something new lol, have not had as much fun with any other iem (Ref 1 came close). So reading behind a few pages (and warrior1975 mentioned to me) about the black filter mod, which I tried with my black filters today. Real easy taking out the little pieces of foam! The high end is extended dramatically which surprised me whilst retaining the bottom end (seems deeper as well)...- monoboy
