Buying in Ireland
Hey PaulieB - How are you finding the AKG 550s, I bought the DT770 Pro LE but was almost going to buy the 550s. The only reason I didn't was due to Mike & Lieven's review of the 770LE on headfonia If you are ever around town some lunchtime I would love to give them a try.- Sengoku79

Buying in Ireland
Whilst it may not feel right most shops here do a $ to € equivalency so we end up paying a lot more for cans. A pair of $200 HD-25 II will cost us in the range of $250-$261 online, and in shops up to $377 - so as far as I'm concerned until they get real they won't be getting my custom.- Sengoku79

Buying in Ireland
PaulieB - I would not buy in Ireland full stop - most of the retail outlets are far too expensive. But Tower Records have most of the Sennheiser lineup and a listening station and Bogmonster's recommendations of Peat's and Music Maker are good, however I would just go to these places to...- Sengoku79

Portable amp for IEM's under $350.00
Can definitely recommend RSA P-51 mustang - Very portable, great battery life, has a low, med & high gain so can be used with more power hungry phones. This article also of a lot of use for choosing http://www.headfonia.com/the-usual-suspects-12-portable-amps-compared/ Sen- Sengoku79

Pictures Of Your Portable Rig (part XV)
I have quarter-modded the MS1i and hope to replace the cable at so point as it is too long for portable use. I noticed a large jump in quality going from a Fiio LOD to the handmade silver one so will probably try and do a silver wire recable. The RE-262's are an excellent...- Sengoku79

Don't have a firm grip on pricing yet, have seen prices of up to €100 per block, am thinking of going around some salvage/antique places to see if they have offcuts or the like- Sengoku79

Given the difficulty trying to get "cheap" american tonewoods round here, am thinking of either trying to get mahogany or black walnut (still very expensive though). Typical Irish pricing on them Cocobolo would be my preferred choice based upon Bilavideo's experience with it but just...- Sengoku79

Shipped on the 7th arrived on the 14th! was great didn't get caught at customs either you should have a look at picking up a Fiio E7 to use as a DAC with the laptop as it will give you better output than the one in the laptop if its a generic AC97 chip Sorry about the off topic guys...- Sengoku79

Hey Marko TBH couldn't tell you how they compare to the SR 60/80 as they are my first real jump into full sized headphones, others round here would be able to give you a better idea. Have been lurking on the thread for a while and based upon others opinions I took a chance on them...- Sengoku79

Rank the IEM's you've heard
RE-262 > X10 >= RE-Zero > IE-10 Best overall sound on the RE-262, best bass on the X10, sweeter highs on the RE-Zero, IE-10 a good starting set at the time.- Sengoku79

Review: Klipsch x10i vs Re-Zero
I'm just new to the forum but here is my first review. Equipment used: Ipod 5.5g Rockboxed - LOD - E7, Klipsch x10i double flange & custom sleeve vs HiFiman Re-Zero small sleeve. Having been a huge fan of the Klipsch x10's I have to admit being blown away by the Re-Zero's, whilst...- Sengoku79

Which earphones are the best for techno/trance music?
I have klipsch x10s and they are great for this kind of music, great bass and fantastic highs can be a bit muddy in the mids at times but when amped really shine.- Sengoku79
