Tips for DBA-02 MKII
I was looking at options for the original but according to joker's review the nozzle of the second version is 2.5mm instead of 3mm. What are your favorite tips for nozzles of this size? Of the stock tips, I like the triple flange the best but it never stays on since it's a bit loose. And the...- Skyr795

Help returning Fischer DBA-02 MKII!
The left channel cut out yesterday and It hasn't even been a year since I bought them, so I was hoping to check the warranty info and exchange them, but their site seems to be down or not in service. Can anyone help me out with this?- Skyr795

Best option, hopefully around $200 or less for college?
Thanks for the replies. I'll have to look into this more... but the two I mentioned still seem to be solid options based on what I'm reading.- Skyr795

Best option, hopefully around $200 or less for college?
I've previously had the HD-25 and the Grado SR80i, but I'm looking for something with a more "neutral" or "analytical" sound that goes with most genres. Whether it's over-the-ear or in-ear is not as important to me as the sound. It should be portable enough to take places though. The two options...- Skyr795

Where to buy new Beyerdynamic DT 1350 (facelift version)?
The search tool isn't giving me much in previous threads if there are any, so sorry if this is redundant. Amazon's been having pretty good deals on headphones lately, like the DT 1350 for around $220. I was looking into ordering a pair, but when I stumbled upon the Beyerdynamic page for the...- Skyr795

Post your wallpaper!
It would be kind of awkward to have an anime cast picture or something but I didn't really want anything too boring so I went with this. Anyone want to guess where it's from? I'm getting kind of bored with it though so I'm probably gonna change it soon.- Skyr795

Custom-colored Sennheiser HD 25-1 II adidas (a lot of big photos inside)
Ah sorry no I meant that it's unfortunate that they are only available in Europe and also that they might affect the sound quality.- Skyr795

Custom-colored Sennheiser HD 25-1 II adidas (a lot of big photos inside)
Yeah I'm not sure why those colored pads seem to be only sold on obscure European websites. It's a shame since I heard that they negatively impact the sound quality or isolation compared to the Sennheiser pads (not that I'd really notice anyway). But yeah if Colorware does start doing these, I...- Skyr795

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones
Well I take my HD 25-1 II to school with me and they have gotten various reactions. Friend: These are some pretty good headphones. I can't even hear myself think. Someone in my grade: What's with those gay headphones? But the worst was when I had my MC3 with me. ...- Skyr795

Why did you choose your username?
Errr... I think the Skyr part is a bunch of random letters my sister typed for me when I wanted to try some free MMO years ago. It sounded cool to my 8-10 year old mind so that stuck. Then I think the 795 is a random combination of numbers I typed after the Skyr part because some Lego site I was...- Skyr795

How Do You All Notice Differences in Sound Signature and the Like?
Wow quite a few informative replies already O.O Well, I don't think source and bit rate should be THAT big of a problem. My source is either my computer (probably a terrible sound card) or my iPhone 4 (which is apparently pretty good). Bit rates of my songs range anywhere from 192 kbps VBR MP3...- Skyr795

How Do You All Notice Differences in Sound Signature and the Like?
Whenever a product is discussed in this site, it's bound to bring with it descriptions of it's sound signature and whether or not the commenter cares for it. Given the way they are described and how passionately some feel about their preferred sound signature, one would think that anyone would...- Skyr795

I'm not saying that they are super well known or anything, just definitely better than skullcandies, or bose in-ears, etc. Was it not in the member's lounge before? I just found a make a new thread button somewhere and clicked it.- Skyr795

Well I think that's 90% (or more) of every school. I dislike my past self sometimes for wondering why people liked CDs when you could just get it on iTunes. Or why people would spend so much money on headphones (although some prices ARE pretty crazy). Now I feel better knowing that I won't make...- Skyr795

Well it is true that he probably really believed what he was telling me, but my definition of troll is much less clearly defined than KnowYourMeme's. Basically anyone who says anything unthinkably stupid is a troll to me. And like I was saying, I am well aware that people wouldn't change their...- Skyr795

Quite Possibly the BIGGEST Headphone Troll EVER.
Come to think of it, I'm still not sure I've really noticed much of an improvement from my headphones, except when I compared them to my friend's IEMs, which he got for free somewhere and were the worst things I had ever heard (much, much worse than stock Apple earbuds). It probably has...- Skyr795

@Abovetheair Nope, since Etymotic IEMs aren't exactly the kind of IEMs you'd want to share with someone, especially since they have that ear-rape feeling at first. Plus, I know it wouldn't have made a difference anyway. If it were me in that situation before I forced myself to read up on...- Skyr795

Quite Possibly the BIGGEST Headphone Troll EVER.
After club activities, I was talking with my friends outside and I had my IEMs out (Etymotic MC3) and then this kid in my grade came over and belittled them, saying that I should get Bose (that he pronounced Bos-ee) or Beats, which were, he said, the best headphones available. Then when I tried...- Skyr795
