Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
Apologies for how long my post may get, I'm attempting to be as detailed as possible in hopes that someone may be able to help me with my issue as I've sent in my Hugo 2 back for repair about 3 times for the same issue. So, I have a Hugo 2 that runs in desktop mode connected to a relatively...- ZekeAdebayo

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
So, from early testing going from 384k to 192k didn't keep the audio for switching off. However, when I run the device without the charger plugged in the audio cutting off doesn't seem to happen. It only seems to happen at random when running the Hugo 2 while it's plugged in which is strange to...- ZekeAdebayo

I guess you could describe it as sounding like that sir. As of right now, the audio cutoff seems to only happen when the device is is plugged in using the charger that came with the Hugo 2. When running with no charger plugged in, the audio doesn't seem to be cutting out.- ZekeAdebayo

Thank you for your reply, the audio cutout doesn't happen with my Rotel RA-1572 or any other USB audio device connected to my PC, only the Hugo 2. I primarily use my Hugo 2 in a setup where it's connected to my pc via USB, I then run the Hugo 2 via audio composite cables to my Rotel which drives...- ZekeAdebayo

Was curious if I could get the advice of any engineers here. So, I've owned my Hugo 2 for a about a year now. I've really enjoyed it as a dac, but I've had to send it back a few times for repair due to the Dac randomly not playing any sound. I either have to switch to another audio device, play...- ZekeAdebayo

Since my Hugo 2 is out of warranty, I was referred to this company by Chord to have them repair it in the U.S. https://www.theservicedepartmentct.com/ Has anyone had their device repaired by this company? Since Chord recommended them I'm sure they'll do a good job, my worry is upon looking at...- ZekeAdebayo

Thank you for your reply, I can try on another setup and see. Thankfully this time I was able to get a response back from Chord and if things go well hopefully I'll be able to ship it in for someone to take a look and hopefully get it repaired. I really appreciate all the responses, thank you!- ZekeAdebayo

Thanks for the response, my Hugo 2 is connected to my HP Omen PC via a USB cable. The current USB cable I'm using is nothing crazy, but pretty decent. It's a micro USB to USB-A cable from a brand at Target called "Heyday". The one I had before it was a $20 Belkin cable. I've experienced the...- ZekeAdebayo

Thank you for the reply, unfortunately I don't believe the issue is a USB cable issue because the one I'm using is new. I'll resume playing back some audio and then I'll hear the noise blast through my speakers or headphones. It occurs randomly, could be 1 hour into using the Hugo 2 , could be 3...- ZekeAdebayo

Hello everyone, for the most part I've been enjoying my Hugo 2. However, for some time now I've been experiencing an issue that happens randomly where the device makes a loud static noise (similar) to the sound you get from the old crt tv's when you land on a channel that doesn't work. The issue...- ZekeAdebayo
