Confirmed it is not possible. Home button (fingerprint scanner) does nothing when ringing. Instead you must swipe the phone icon up to answer.

I'd doubt they would do this automatically, but I'm sure if you called they would honor it.

I confirmed this a while back. your device will not boot with the module attached. you will get error. circa about page 32-34 i believe

I'm also fairly certain that my step-dad has an LG v10... I can probably go to his house and bug him to let me test side by side. From what I understand, the V10 has the 9018 built in.

  US Model, LG G5 Titan from AT&T. I don't actively own any ESS9018 devices. But I did spend quite a bit of time the the FiiO X7 which had the ESS9018s. But I don't have it here to actively compare. But if I can confirm it works I will do my best to locate one that I can test along side of!

  Being that Android Authority is the only one stating this, and LG support seems to think it will work (but we all know customer service can be wrong) I have ordered a Hifi+ module for my G5. Should be here late next week. I will keep everyone informed of the potential good or bad news...
