How does the Lcd-2 compare to the hifiman in terms of bass and warmth? Is the hifiman bright at times or get hot in the treble?

Hi there I have some good old Akg Q701 that need an upgrade. My budget is something under $1000 and I listen to mostly alternative/ indie but sometimes go classical or Jazz. I could buy used equipment if it fits into the budget. My current setup is a cypher labs Algorhythm solo -db and duet.

ick question do you need a headphone that has a balanced 4 pin connector to use the balance chain? Or can I use the balance chain and use the 3.5 mm output to my headphones.

If I just use this unit with the 3.5 mm input it would it still be worth it or no? Or do I have to get the Cypher labs -dB to make this unit worth while.

Does the cypher labs algorhythm duet work with other Dac's?

My beyerdynamic a200p or I could buy another amp for around $200-300. My budget on these headphones are around $500-800

I personally listen to Alternative rock, rock, and pop.I have the Akg Q701s. Any help is welcome! You can also list some headphones I might want to look into. What im looking into is something with more bass then the Akg Q701s and will sound good with a variety of genres.
