Looking to buy a new headphone (Lcd-2 vs El-8 vs 560)
Hi, I am looking to buy a new headphone under $1000. Personally I listen to a lot of alternative rock 50%, pop 40%, and other. My setup is the cypherlabs duet and algorhythm solo-db. I currently have Akg Q701 and Fostex th600 but the th600 are too bright for me and can be annoying to listen to...- Tyco3000

Headphone recommendation for my setup and music genre
Hi there I have some good old Akg Q701 that need an upgrade. My budget is something under $1000 and I listen to mostly alternative/ indie but sometimes go classical or Jazz. I could buy used equipment if it fits into the budget. My current setup is a cypher labs Algorhythm solo -db and duet.- Tyco3000

Good portable dac for Cypher labs algorhythm duet under $400
ick question do you need a headphone that has a balanced 4 pin connector to use the balance chain? Or can I use the balance chain and use the 3.5 mm output to my headphones.- Tyco3000

Good portable dac for Cypher labs algorhythm duet under $400
If I just use this unit with the 3.5 mm input it would it still be worth it or no? Or do I have to get the Cypher labs -dB to make this unit worth while.- Tyco3000

I personally listen to Alternative rock, rock, and pop.I have the Akg Q701s. Any help is welcome! You can also list some headphones I might want to look into. What im looking into is something with more bass then the Akg Q701s and will sound good with a variety of genres.- Tyco3000

Best headphone for its price (akg q701, T-70, T90)
Here's my review is wow... The soundstage is large the detail is nice for alternative rock you can really pick out the instruments very well and it sounds like your in a room. They have a punchy bass to it but some songs like radioactive and Sail which have a more thump and muddy sounding bass...- Tyco3000

Best headphone for its price (akg q701, T-70, T90)
Budget $300-500 Mostly at home Doesnt really matter Will listen to CD's Soundcard Some bass, not too high's but alot is okay as long as its not fatiguing to the ear, mids doesnt matter. Taking consideration of the 70% gaming so soundstage is a big part and 30% music thanks- Tyco3000
