r-10s don't go well with any amp or source thats dry/clean/lean IMO. the benchmark -> nordost -> bicode -> r-10s setup back in the seattle meet was crystal clear but emotionally uninvolving. i guess something like apogee -> cardas -> bicode/dynahi -> r-10 would be better.

w2002s are completely different from w1000s. w1000s are dry sounding like beyer 880s and can use some coloration from the tubes IMO...not the w2002s.

w2002s are flavored headphones IMO, i think you should get a 'dry' amp for them, like gilmore or meier amp...

r&b: do you know if bare copper wire is cheaper than silver plated copper wire? assuming similar quality, materials etc.

what i fail to see is if someone wants the 'copper sound', he can go for vampire wires, if the person wants 'silver sound', he can go for raw silver wires. i tried larry's copper + silver combo and didn't like it, ps audio's silver plated copper cables and zu gede (silver + copper) didn't...
