hd25-1 impressions thread
Hmm, I was interested in getting a pair of the HD25-1's, but all I could find was the HD25-II. Is there a difference between 1 and 2?- tennisplyr3

REVIEW (in progress) - Nuforce HDP 24/96 USB-Optical 24/192 Coax DAC Preamp and Headphone Amp
Interesting. I'm curious -- why is having a higher output impedance more desirable, i.e. why is the rear RCA output better than the headphone jack for computer speakers like the promedia 2.1?- tennisplyr3

REVIEW (in progress) - Nuforce HDP 24/96 USB-Optical 24/192 Coax DAC Preamp and Headphone Amp
Quote: I use the HDP with Sennheiser HD650s as well as the same speakers, Klipsch Promedia 2.1. I connected both through the front stereo jack. WIth the HD650, just disconnect the 1/4"-->1/8" adapter to plug it in. With the Klipsch, I use the 1/8"-->1/4" adapter to plug it into the same...- tennisplyr3

I've noticed that my unit stays warm to the touch even if it's turned off while plugged in to the power supply. Is this normal?- tennisplyr3

REVIEW (in progress) - Nuforce HDP 24/96 USB-Optical 24/192 Coax DAC Preamp and Headphone Amp
Quote: The nice part is that there's only channel imbalance between 8:45-9:00 on my HDP. I usually listen anywhere from 9:30-11:00, depending on the recording. I can always reduce the volume on my media player (winamp/foobar) and increase the volume on the HDP if that ever happens. I do...- tennisplyr3

Sansa Clip+ owners --- can you put 2 Clips on 1 computer? Do I need the Rhapsody software?
Quote: Yes, you can you use 2 clip+s with 1 computer. No, you do not need the Rhapsody software. I use Windows Media Player to sync my songs with my clip+. Once you connect it to your computer, it'll show up on the sidebar on your WMP. You can delete files off of there as necessary...- tennisplyr3

Well, I ordered a Nuforce HDP for myself to try, which just got here yesterday (ordered Sunday, shipped Monday via Fedex, delivery scheduled for Saturday, local sorting facility closed on Saturday, finally delivered 8 days later on Tuesday from California to Pennsylvania). I was a little hesitant about the Audio-GD products because of that distance/size factor. The Dr. DAC prime looks promising and very feature packed. Are there any reviews on it? I haven't found any. I'm curious as to how it compares to the Nuforce HDP.- tennisplyr3
