Need a new Karma wall wart...
I'm in a bit of a pickle. I'm in need of a new Rio Karma power supply. Mine was stolen from my airline baggage (along with a few other gizmos ) I found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/HOME-Charger-AC-...QQcmdZViewItem I think it might work, but the multi-colored fonts and crazy look of the...- Super-Gonzo

diy headphone cable: hard to know what you're doing
If you're looking for something thinner, you might try Canare L-4E5C: http://www.canare.com/index.cfm?obje...AD046DCA18AAFA One thing that hasn't been mentioned that I find really important is how well the cable damps microphonic effects. (ie: when the cable hits the side of your chair, or...- Super-Gonzo

ER4P -> ER4S
I would think the real point to resister precision here, is matching the resistance values between the left and right channels. It makes little difference if its 99 or 101 ohms indvidually, but with a wider swing between parts (like say, cheap-o 5% resistors) You have a possibility of being off...- Super-Gonzo

So Behringer 2496... How to plug?
I can vouch for the unbalanced xlr's working, I've build a xlr-rca cable and used them to connect to a PPA. If I remember correctly, there is a button on the back which can switch the output levels, if you find it too hot for your amp. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have, it's a hell of a... -

Dell 9300 Sigmatel Onboard Audio
I've also been impressed, although my experience with it thus far has been hooked to a sub/satellite system. Certainly none of the hiss, static and bleeps I had to deal with on my old 8200.- Super-Gonzo

Return of the Radio Shack Fusion audio cable?
I've been using the Fusions for years, they are a fantastic deal for a well built RCA. The longer ones make great subwoofer interconnects, just carefully cut 'em down the middle. -

In the section entitled "Notes about R3 and R4" on AMB's mmm site: http://www.amb.org/audio/mmm/parts.html AMB mentions that the bass boost pot can be used as a variable gain control. Would it be possible to drop the volume pot altogether, and just use variable gain to control the volume...- Super-Gonzo
