GUSTARD DAC-R26 Balanced Decoder R2R+1Bit Dual Native Decoding Music Bridge

Speaking of upcoming features, is there a place for suggesting features ? I for one would love to be able to control the R26 via an App instead of the remote control, as it's almost 6 meters from my listening position. I definitely prefer Filter = Slow (widest sound stage), but on some DSD...

GUSTARD DAC-R26 Balanced Decoder R2R+1Bit Dual Native Decoding Music Bridge

You don't mention if the difference was for the better or the worse ? I had an Olimex USB isolator on an Audiolab MDAC, and it actually sounded the worst compared to a dedicated CD transport with quality digital cable. When we removed the isolator between the DAC and the laptop, the setup...

Anybody else made their own esoteric fuses ? I replaced the standard fuse by a Littelfuse 3A slow blow which got a spiral shape wire. Next I used a Dremel with miniature cutting disc to make a hole in the glass of the fuse. Needed a few tries as a few times the glass cracked completely. Next I...

Fiber Optical module modification with larger input capacitor (Oscon) & additional Oscon capacitor after vreg. Next up creation of a USB - 3.5mm cable, so I can power the Fiber Optical module from large powerbank.

You can't test this for yourself ? Now you are basically saying: I cannot tell a difference between Sine or Square wave clock output myself However, with your experiences I will be able to hear what's better and make a decision ? Great topic 🙃

Depends on the software you use. I use Foobar with UPnP MediaRenderer Output plugin. It's related to the way Foobar outputs a continuous stream to the Gustard, and an internal 1 GB limit of this stream/file The higher the sampling rate, the quicker you've reached that 1 GB limit and music stops...

PCM NOS off Filter Low - I can hear the sound stage width just collapse cycling through Low, Medium, Fast Delock Network Isolator 6 kV RJ45; I hear no change whatsoever, even with 2 in series Just ordered the Netgear ProSAFE GS108E - Netwerk Switch I needed a new one anyway and according to...

Why not simply use an USB ethernet adapter on the server pc and provide a dedicated LAN cable directly to the R26 ? Bridge it with the servers normal ethernet adapter done for a mere $10.

No problems here playing with foobar. I play up to DSD256 and PCM384 over without issues over LAN using the UPnP MediaRenderer Output plugin. Still trying to get some DSD512 sample files just to check if these play ok or not. The only nuisance with Foobar is that playback will stop when the...

Happily playing the Gustard R26 over LAN, using Foobar player with Foo_out_upnp. Foo_out_upnp finds two UPnP endpoint devices for it: UPnP : Gustardrender-1v3 DSD : UPnP : Gustardrender-1v3 I've got the latter selected, as the first won't play DSD I think, at least the display will show 176...
