Logitech is buying Ultimate Ears (UE)
I wonder what this means for UE? Hopefully cheaper customs Logitech snaps up Ultimate Ears, chasing this "portable audio" market we've heard so much about - Engadget- speakerhead

So many Custom IEM's available
A few years ago I only knew of one custom IEM maker UE. Now by my count we have at least three UE FreQ Livewires Are UE's still worth the 4x price premium the command over the top of the line FreQ's? Are there other custom IEM makers I should look into before making a decision?- speakerhead

AKG K701 vs Sennheiser HD650?
If one of your requirements is that you like Bass get the HD650's they are a fun headphone. If you are a true audiophile and like to hear your recordings the way they were ORIGINALLY recorded get the K701's. The K701's have a sound stage that the HD650's wish it had, while the positive for...- speakerhead

Headphones vs. speakers
honestly go take a listen to the Martin Logan's that have a self contained amplifier and all you need to do is hook in a source. I think they are called "purity". It sounds better than ANY headphone setup I have heard and can be had for $3000 brand new.- speakerhead
