the 555 sounds great, with a little lacking in the bass department, but its open and leaks just as bas as the 485, wouldnt be ideal if your roomate sleeps near you or something. Look into the D1000 (10001?)

Well the Senn 485 is open, and leaks LOTS of noise, and is VERY bass heavy. The V6 is more of a monitoring headphone, flat response FOR THE MOST part, although some people here prefer them for music or so Ive read. Maybe look into in-ears or something, some nice ones too. For $150 Im sure...

I believe these are at almost every guitar center. They are only on ultrasone.com, and not ultrasoneusa.com. And I can hardly find them online on a site that ships to the USA. Weird? For the price, I would expect there to be a lot more information (especially on this site) about these cans...

Get something with very low sensitivity and high impedance, that way no matter what (without and amp) you cant get it that loud!
