It better be a 4th Gen.. I just got it. In fact when I compare to other reviews I know its a 4G because  of the red dot and the fact that the options are profgressive not at ends of the scale e.g. for bass increases.  

Got my Merlins after not that long at all, I imagine they are clearing the backlog after the move. Very happy with them, of   course the sound quality is exceptional clear and  clean with emphasis on bass... perfect. The Headstage really brings out aspects of the music I didnt hear...

OK finally got it.. man this thing is good, the sound it brings out is exceptional. Worth the wait... took it out for a spin today with my new Merlins ..Incredible clean unbiased sound delivery . Awesome piece of kit. Check it out..

horrid company, never again. they tried to offer me replacement upgrade for cable break problem at nearly the same price as a brand new unit and wouldnt honour the warranty. NEVER AGAIN will I buy their products.

I find it frustrating that up to date information is not available on the UM site. I have never seen this silver  like carbon fibre image till now and I only just sent off my impressions with the order. Frustrating

OK thats it then..... My final choice is made: Out go the SE350 upgrades to Quads, In comes a custom Merlin with as much silver as I can throw at the deign. Excellent Review.. thank you.  A man of my calibre must have Bass... Going to pair this baby up with an Arrow Headstage 4G .. hold...
