I tried the bass boost with the UM3s, but I thought it was too much bass. No boost was perfect to my ears.- Orcin

Headstage Arrow HE: Reviews, Impressions, Perceptions & Sensations
I picked up s1rrah's Arrow last night. This thing is awesome. I have never heard my IEM's sound so good. The separation and tight sound is amazing. I need to try it with my full-size cans over the weekend.- Orcin

Quote: I did kiss the wife a few times on Saturday, but then you knew that since we have this freaky psychic connection stemming from our days together at the training academy. That rug rat is a senior by the way and coming up on his last home game in two weeks. *sniff* I...- Orcin

Well, look who is rated #25 this week... the Texas A&M Aggies! I wonder how that happened. It could be due to the last game we played. The visitors were very generous in the game, spotting the home team 2 points on the very first play and giving us the ball to start both halves. They graciously...- Orcin

Open message to dfkt: You are really a helpful person. You may not realize how valuable you are, so here's a pat on the back for you. Your other home (ABI) is a great resource too. I covered a large learning curve in very little time just reading your posts and the first few pages of the...- Orcin

S:flo2 impressions thread
If you don't mind a quirky interface, get the s:flo2. If sound quality is your only criteria, get the s:flo2. I ended up with the Cowon J3 because I can't live without gapless. There are other players, including the Cowon, that sound pretty darn good and have a better feature set (but also cost...- Orcin

Now that I have mastered the tagging, I am beginning to listen to the darn thing. It sounds very, very good. This little jewel has promise! The EQ is really versatile. If you can't find a sound that is better than "normal", you haven't really tried yet.- Orcin

FYI... the discnumber field was blank in my tags. Filling in this field fixed the problem, at least on one album. I am going to fix the rest and see.- Orcin

Cowon J3 Impressions Thread
I got mine but I have a very strange problem that has left me at the starting gate. My ID3 tags are read by the player, but every album list starts with track 5 and tracks 1-4 appear at the end of the track sequence. When I look at the tracks in the player, track 5 says it is track 1 but...- Orcin

I ordered one of these from Amazon today with overnight shipping. I am looking for an upgrade over the SQ of my 2G Touch. Gapless FLAC support and the famous Cowon EQ pushed me to spend the extra $100 over the s:flo2.- Orcin
