It appears that Shure finally cleared up their act with the SE846, but at what price tag! The ones before these have had insane treble recession and early cut off bass. I wonder though, how these measure up to JH16s

My experiences with Sony IEMS have always been meager. Given I've gone for the low end of their line, still they have produced some amazingly terrible pairs! I wonder if they cleaned up their act in that department somewhat.

I don't really understand the DSD hype. I downloaded a bunch of demonstration DSD's, 200-300MB each, and played them converted to 192/24. I understand that converted to PCM defies the purpose of DSD, however, through my top end gear I found that the DSD recording was not even all that high end...

I think my DAC/Amp + T1/Silver Widow setup could be well near the very peak of 2014. I have JH16Pro CIEMS on an IBasso HDP R10 and they don't come near the cans setup in terms of resolution and extension. I'm sure the future holds more though..
