    Best headphones for $200 +/-?

The pros and premiums are the same thing they just look different. Slightly different build but the sound and the insides of the cups are the same.

    Best headphones for $200 +/-?

The 32ohm and 80ohm will work on onboard for sure. The 250 ohm might need an amp but usually the 250 is much cheaper anyway so that's the one you should go for and just try it on your motherboard and if you need an amp you can buy one and the cost will come out to the same.

    Best headphones for $200 +/-?

I would go as far as saying they are one of the most durable headphones out there. They should be fine moved around.

    Best headphones for $200 +/-?

They're not that big imo. Here is a pic of my DT990 Premiums which are the same size with some quarters for size reference.    https://www.dropbox.com/s/gkudhzrvsk9c4ho/2014-08-07%2014.51.08.jpg

    Best headphones for $200 +/-?

Shure 440 with 840 pads are a good neutral option. If you want something more fun the DT770 is usually what I normally recommend but that's already been mentioned.

    Best headphones for $200 +/-?

I'm not an expert on the modding You're better googling that. I think there's a head-fi post dedicated to that but I bought mine modded.    But as far as I understand, you put clay inside the cups and rolled cotton before the pads. I also have different pads on mine which I think are from the...

Philips Fidelio X2 : A Review by Baycode

Removeable pads, all black, and detachable cable? Phillips might finally get my money. Just need to see the price for it in the states.

    Best headphones for $200 +/-?

Personal favorite under $200 would probably be Beyerdynamic DT770 but right now I am loving my modded Fostex T50RP.

    Sony's new flagship 2014 - MDR-Z7

I actually really quite like the MDR7506 and I've heard the MDR1R is pretty good but other than that I don't see any other compelling products. I don't even like them all that much for their non-audio things. Most of it is overpriced and I hate the ps4. #PCMASTERRACE

Best Audio Headset for Rock & metal music

Personally I am drooling over the Fostex TH600. Maybe consider those. If you want something bass heavy I've heard good things about the NAD VISO HP50.

    Upgrade from AKG Q701

If you're looking for open headphones I would personally go HE500. I'm more interested in closed headphones though so would really want to get my hands on a Fostex TH600 or TH900 if I could. As for amp I really like my o2/odac.

    Hifiman he-400i Impressions and Discussion

Omg finally someone agrees with me on that screw on connector. The first time I saw it I was so surprised. Why can't they be like everyone else and use a standard connection?

    Sony's new flagship 2014 - MDR-Z7

Photo gone :(   Either way though I'm not ganna hold my breath for it. I've never been too impressed by Sony's offerings.

What Headphones to buy for rock and gaming?

The wide sound stage for a closed headphone at least on the DT770 will make it a good choice if that's what you're looking for in gaming. Some people prefer a more flat response for rock but I really like v-curved frequencies for rock music so it depends on what you would like. I've tried COPs...

    New Member Introductions thread

Hi all relatively new member here. Been into headphones for a while and thought I'd give this forum a shot. I guess I'll start off by listing some of the things I've tried. Currently I'm running Modded Fostex T50RP headphones with an o2/odac as my source with Beyerdynamic DT990 Premiums as my...
