What Are You Listening To Right Now?

  2. MrMan

For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

I wouldn't suggest buying a pair of HD700s. My first listen to a pair of HD700's at a meet I absolutely hated them, despite me wanting to love them no matter what. I paid $400 for my amp/dac used and it was the absolutely best purchase I've made. It allows you 3 settings on treble and bass. So...

I'd be shocked if anyone said either my dac/amp setup or my headphone. Centrance m8 into HD700's. It's been the only headphone combo that produces highs the way I want them and also makes VOIP crystal clear. A song I absolutely love on this combo.

Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!

The best bang for the buck is Audio Ninja. Reasonably priced, best customer service in the game, built to last and there is no reason to go elsewhere unless you want pluto meteor stones in your cable.

    Headphone repair?

Not sure which forum to post this. Is there any good USA headphone repair companies or people? I have a pair of HD800's I'd like to get repaired.

Anyone else just a 1 headphone user? (Not a collector)

Currently own HD650, 700, 800 and Denon 2000's and I exclusively use HD700's. I tried so hard to like HD800's but at times the soundstage was too large. It felt like if you took a cooked lasagna and separated all the ingredients into their own separate plate.

Shokz - The perfect niche product

About 5-10% are going to absolutely love them, 40% are going to wish it had some feature and the other 50% are going to hate them. Pros: - Probably the only type of headphones you could use for underwater swimming, rated IP68 (The highest waterproof I know of) - Once they are on your head...

    Audiophile Ninja cables?

So 6 months into owning my first Ninja cable and I have to say they are amazing. Keep in mind I don't think I'm your normal audio listener. I spend a good 4-11 hours each day listening to headphones between music, games, work etc every day. The cable doesn't tangle at the V, there is zero...

    Audiophile Ninja cables?

Ninja's cables are like a good home cooked meal. Made with love and good ingredients. Nothing that isn't needed.

    Audiophile Ninja cables?

Quality-wise I think they are amazing for the price. I just wouldn't expect them to change the sound much. Not many cables do.

Has anyone achieved their end-game setup ?

The Dino is the best part of that setup =)

Has anyone achieved their end-game setup ?

I'd be upset if you bought a pair of hd700's. They are not good. I wanted to make them good so I worked around the headphone. I see you own a pair of HD 8xx. Quite dynamic headphone that can be enhanced to your liking with the right dac/amp.

Has anyone achieved their end-game setup ?

HD700 stock are not good. This is why no one owns them. You have to EQ the **** out of them to make them sounds good. I love the look of them and how light they are. With my amp/dac I set them up to sound how I want. I have dekoni pads, audiophile ninja cable and both the tremble and bass...

Has anyone achieved their end-game setup ?

Seems a little cynical but that could just be my subjective opinion. With that said I have achieved my end game. Been in the audio world since 2008 (this is my 2nd account) and the past couple of years bought nothing nor have I had any desire to buy anything. The main reason is I can completely...

Has anyone achieved their end-game setup ?

So I also needed to add that it's portable. I can bring it to my work and easily use it. I can also travel with it. There isn't many high end audio setups you can say this.
