Seems like the Pono Player completely ignores the "Album Artist" tag unfortunately.   It's already hard enough to scroll through a collection on that touchy tiny screen, having all of my compilation albums listed by their individual artist isn't helping any. Anyone know where to submit bugs...

I took apart my Pono Player today to check out what's inside.     http://mikebeauchamp.com/2014/12/pono-player-teardown/   It uses an ESS ES9018K2M 32-bit Sabre reference DAC and the headphone amp section seems to be mostly discrete transistors and two large 1000uF capacitors. Nice board...

Thanks for posting the internal shots of the HD595. On first inspection, they look exactly the same. The only difference I can see is that my HD555's have the foam piece glued onto the inside of the back vents. To answer someone else's question... the back of the driver doesn't actually come...
